View Full Version : Whose Next From Columbus???!!!
Any "good" pitchers left in Columbus to bring up to the Yankees??!!
Seems we could use some seems like deseprately so!!!
I know Alamanzar is ready for the dogpile just hear the fans scowl '
& rightfully so after tonights game performance!
:O
Well, he's not a pitcher per se, but...
Nick Johnson! :P
I think the pitching cupboard is bare, Jean. We'll have to go with what we got. The next 7are against Detroit and Tampa Bay; if we can take 4 with the new and unimproved rotation, it'll be quite an accomplishment. Frankly, I'd like to see how the next 7 days go before making any rash moves.
Looks like the Pirates are ready to have a fire sale. They might have some help for us and they might take $$ due to their P&L statement.

I just heard the tail end of an interview with Billy Connors on the FAN where Suzyn asked him if there was any bullpen help down on the farm...
He mentioned a guy named Pacheco moving to Triple A...this was his line according to the Navigators sight:
Pacheco
3-3 W/L, 1.08 ERA,. 27 games, 33.1 innings pitched, 17 saves, 43 SO, 9 BB
Gunderson
1-2 W/L, 1.51 ERA, 28 games, 35.2 innings pitched, 3 saves, 29 SO, 12 BB
and some guy named OJ -- didn't catch the last name, but it will be interesting to root for an athlete named OJ...:barf:
While Pacheco's numbers look good for Double A, I still think we need to make a trade for a reliable, experienced reliever at this level...

I see that Bub! The Only Thing Is that Detroit In the Past has
been a tough team for the Yankees! So thats 3 more games
that are questionable this week! Tampa Bay should be I say
SHOULD Be Easy for Us but with our pitching the way
it is now.............

I was at their double-header last night in Syracuse (they lost both), and Chad Ogea (OJ) didn't look too bad, if you consider what other options they have there. Also Pat Flury did pretty well closing. He didn't give up any hits or walks. It might be a good idea to bring Flury up and get rid of Almanzar, he's had enough chances already.

Yeah Almanzars doing a lot of nothing in the Bigs, give someone else a shot
Wow...I didn't realize Ogea (OJ) had progressed all the way back to AAA already. We probably will see him soon if he does OK.
Thanks BLuna for Being my WFAN Ears! I wish I do wish I could
get that station on stream internet! If only they had a live broadcast!
