Shef hits .176 against Rogers for his career....and Bernie hits over .300 as a righty this year and hits .353 against Roger for his career. Pure numbers move.

Zumuya gets to sit down as the Tigers pour it on....

This is the playoffs...don't worry about numbers like that.

If that was the case, Leyland wouldn't have pitched Rogers tonight.

Whatever you want to say- and I sincerely hope like most of us here do that the Yanks win two in a row over the next 48+ hrs.- but a large part of me is going to be happy when they discuss A-rod leaving this off-season.

The constant firestorm he creates around the club- actually, that is created because of him, not by him- will not be missed. The .100 postseasons- or the tightness in his swing when things get tough- will not be missed.

Not the forum for this post, but game threads are places to vent.

I agree. This Yankee team has no fire.. It's almost they feel getting to the playoffs is important but closing the deal is someone else's job and nobody comes through..

You know - they were talking about how when Damon hit the homerun yesterday Leyland was in the dugout after the inning was over clapping and saying "let's go" - think it was Rodriguez who said he has a lot to do with the Tigers mentality....I've usually defended Torre, but I think this Yankee team has taken on our Manager's persona....

Yes 2004 was worse because what happened but going into that post-season I was not nearly as confident as I was entering this one.

My people, when the Yanks lose in the playoffs to end the season, they fall like dominoes.

2002 - Lost final 3 of DS to end the season
2003 - Lost final 3 of WS to end the season
2004 - Lost final 4 of LCS to end the season
2005 - Lost final game of DS to end the season

Outside of last year, when we the season ends, it ends in a streak.
