Reading the last few pages, you would have thought the Yanks were trailing in an elimination game.
Octavio Dotel, instead of giving him work so he could build up arm strength and regained control and actually be of some use in the playoffs, he continued to abuse other relievers.Extra work or not, Dotel wasn't going to be a factor this year. To be fair, it takes more time to recover from a surgery like that.

I don't understand it at all. You aren't overexerting a guy that is throwing better than he has all night when he is at 93 pitches. He was on a roll right there... You have to at least let him finish the 7th inning. But no, Joe had to use his f*cking precious LOOGY. (By the way, did anyone else notice Wang roll his eyes when Torre came out?)

It was an OK night. That's why he's batting sixth. But he seems to be more relaxed than last year and is seeing the ball well. He'll have a couple of very good nights should we get deep into October.
As a hitter all you can do is put a good swing on the ball and try to hit it hard somewhere.....you cant place it. 3 of his 4 AB's were good, he has scalded the ball 3 times. Unfortunately he has had no luck.

But Myers already has had playoff experience hasn't he? All I'm saying is if Wang is in a groove, why mess with it at that point?
Yesterday (previous playoff experience) doesn't count anymore. there is only today and tomorrow...Wang did his job--the rest of the bullpen is expected and depended on to do their job -- get the ball to Rivers without giving up 4 runs and only needing to get 4 outs -- that's not too much to ask, is it ?????
