He's the type of guy who when he doesn't get hits, he doesn't help the team. Doesn't move runners over, and relies too heavily on the home run. And in the field, he's playing a brand new position. I'll try to watch this game for a little while, but the Astros-Phillies game is also on as well. Amazing that the Stros can somehow still have a legit chance to make the playoffs with a win and STL loss tonight to San Diego.

Agree don't want him playing first but I think he should make the PS roster over the other options, just the psychological threat of his bat coming off the bench seems worthwhile and if he could get hot...

Seriously though, I like the dynamic of our offense without Sheff. I just remember the past few post seasons where we were waiting for the home run or big blow that never came. It's just much tougher to score runs in the playoffs by relying on the homer. The championship teams moved runners, played good defense, and kept the line moving.

This game is going as well as it can. But honestly, the ump is killing this pitcher. There have been at least four strike calls blown, including two that should have led to strikeouts. Way to show those wheels, Jorge.

I just think its good for the psyche of the team that the Game 4 Starter pitches well period tonight. This is perhaps his last start of the year (assuming he doesnt pitch Friday) and he should have a good finish here for his confidence.
