You should use the proper name of the team in the Game Thread title. And you shouldn't predict the outcome. :-rtfm-: ;)

I was actually referring to the snack Rasner was eating before the game. Is he starting today? ;)

Thats correct. Or, at least say this:
"Rasner looks to eat some Twinkies".
I know its a minor grammatical thing, but it goes a long way.

BTW, good afternoon everybody. How are you all this afternoon?
Here at work, but have the MLBTV up and no supervisors in the house. Yippee.
Can we hit a rookie today? Lets find out.
I was actually referring to the snack Rasner was eating before the game. Is he starting today? ;) Touché ... yeah, there's a rumor he's starting today. Against the Twins. Who are starting an unknown rookie pitcher who's new to the league and whom the Yankees have never seen before!

I hate to admit this, but I agree with him. I'm more nervous about this game than I was about yesterday's game.
Yankees need a big win today.
I'll gladly accept a microscopic win ...
Yankees need a big win today.I'll take a little win.
Joe said in the pregame show that Mo will still not be available today so it would be nice if they could build up a lead of say ... four runs (to avoid the curse of the three-run homer) going into the ninth ...

Team budget does NOT matter. small market teams DO have a chance to win pennants and World Series. All the machinations of the Hot Stove league in winter are worth nothing. Free agent signings mean nothing. Having a healthy pitching staff is worthless. Having strong dependable arms in the bullpen means nothing. Having a great closer is worthless. Pulling off great trades at the July 31st deadline will not influence a pennant race. It's as simple as artfully wording the titles of game threads in the appropriate team forums. Hey, this is great! How simple!

That one had Jason shaking his head ...
Jason's gotta be careful. You don't want him to be tossed.

Only if John or Suzyn grant you permission to. Otherwise, the answer is no. :gulp::O :P

Unless CJ Henry turns into Pujols we're set
And let's say he does but the team wins a title because of Abreu, it would certainly make the trade sting a lot less
And Giambi walks! Let's go, Alex! :)

I was waiting for the Sterling comment: "And that's why Giambi is so valuable, even when he is in a bad slump in terms of hitting the ball, as he is now, he still gets his walks and contributes to the team"

Now, A-Rod has to think CF facing 2 strikes here.
I get the feeling that he is still in the mode of ''let me just get good wood''.

When you score Giambi from 2B and Posada from 1B w/o hitting a HR, you've got some power.
Can you imagine if he'd have scored Giambi from 1B? :gulp::O :P

Or it's two outs and you dunk one in that gets past the outfielder.
Either one of those.

I know, I know. It went past him as he couldn't catch it and Hunter couldn't back him up. Sterling may be cheesy & corny, but he's very descriptive. :P
Everytime I post in a game thread the yankees cough up a lead... the second I leave they get it back... for the sake of the yankees im out of here.

Unfortunately for those of us in New England who get NESN, there is no question who is the most offensive/senile Yankee fan for those who have seen a certain ad they have been showing all year....

Wow, Rasner mowed down the heart of the Twins' lineup! Good work, kid!
