OK, I get it.
Damon and Jeter setting an early tone for this game is a good thing, but the only "leadership" comes from the fact that they bat #1 and 2 in the order.
I do think there was something magical about that Game 4 homer in 2000 though. It set a dramatic tone like, "OK, the Mets won a game but order is being restored." That swing won him the Series MVP.
