Finish your statement...go for the sweep.
LET'S GET IT ON, COME ON!

I'll have caps today via NESN. This is an ESPN2 free zone. No more of them. For those forced to listen to it on ESPN2, I feel sorry for you.

Nice to see Flaherty in the booth.

Wilson, Bernie, Fasano AND Green? Makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Wilson bats right and plays good defense, Damon has run a lot in the OF and needs to rest his foot, Posada must really be exhausted after last night, and Jeter never gets a day off. We'll be fine.

As a 4th outfielder, he's hitting around .280 with about 50 RBIs. He's not the gold glover he was, but he's going to play the corner in Fenway's CF better than anyone else other than Damon.

good luck...Stand on their necks!!!!!
This would have been the perfect opportunity to slide A-Rod over to SS and let Green play 3B.

I said nothing about his offense. I'm very pleased with his showing at the plate. But it isn't that he SHOULDN'T play the OF. He can't. It's painfully awful to watch. And it hurts us...Ortiz does not take 2nd in the 9th last night w/ Abreu in RF.

is that an error?
I just see were Hansen was sent down by the Sox. I don't think the Sox did him any favors by rushing him... he probably should have spent the year in the minors.2 others who pitched this weekend were given pink slips. At this rate, the Sox staff will be completely overhauled by next week.

Ah, yes, an evil Empire doing it to Boston...funnily enough, one of my distant ancestors was among the British troops in this mess.
Oh, and my greetings to everyone here...always a pleasure to join you for an afternoon of Yankee baseball.
This is truly pathetic: Remy and Orsilo, the standard NESN broadcast crew, are more objective than Miller/Morgan were.... by a LOT....
GameDay is awesome:
Pitch 1 - In play, no out recorded
David Ortiz grounds out softly, second baseman Robinson Cano to first baseman Craig Wilson.

His call of Giambi's HR in the 10th last night was pretty bad too. Honestly, I dont mind him outside of HR situations though
When the ball was hit, I didnt think it was out because it was hit on a line so far, so fast and then Crisp appeared to make the catch on the run only for it to glance off his glove for a homer. So I'll give him a pass.
The Giambi sac fly in the 8th I thought was gone off the bat. I still dont know how the park kept that one in. I think someone played with the wind there. Cant ask John to be perfect all the time, especially there.
