It's alright, didn't mean to sound like an a$$, but this was the last place I expected to see WWE talk. This is kind of my "escape" from it tonight, to get my mind off it until later. Strange thing is that not too many people around here are even into wrestling, it is pretty cool to see there alot of yankee fans on here like the WWE too. Sorry if I came across as rude in anyway.
Nothing seems to be off limits around here. As Sterling would say, "isnt that amazing?"
From WWE, to Klu's female endeavors, to Xbox 360 and some other weird crap. There seems to be something for everyone around here.

No way. He's going 7. Francona pretty much said as much. Papelbon for the 8th and 9th.
That was bad.......I'm not going to rip him, other than to say that unfortunately he's the last guy in the lineup (other than Green) I want up in that situational spot. I know he occasionally succeeds (though at a rate below the whole league other than one player), but he simply fails to put in a quality at bat way too often. Fail by hitting an at 'em ball, or getting beat in a compettitive at bat. But not by getting beat by pitcher's pitches when you aren't behind two strikes, or expanding the zone early to get yourself behind and then chasing.

Over and over, I've defended A-Rod to friends, said that the expectations are unrealistics, but jeez, it seems like there's just nothing there. He just can't get it done in these moments. He's having a down year, for him, but it's still a good year. And like a guy like Teixiera for Texas, it's clear that it's just a season-long drop-off from what's normally expected. But it's at that point where I see him up there with a man on first, and I go, jeez, just don't let it be a GIDP. And where I expect the ugly strikeout now with RISP. It's just frustrating and confusing.
P.S. I hate Morgan and Miller.

P.S. I hate Morgan and Miller.
this year there really is no defending arod. dont get me wrong, i dont at all want to trade him or anything like that but as a top player in the league, there is no defending him this season. on both sides of the ball. 2004 looks like an mvp year from him compared to this. i would take that season every year if i knew he wouldnt have a year like this ever again.

Exactly. Until he stops pressing or whatever and starts getting quality at bats in big spots he'll never be a complete success in NY and the boos will never stop.

Still, Villone should not have been pitching in this game at all, and for 2 innings is a joke. Am I alone on this? The man is too important to our team for the remaining 40 games.

Well here's the answer.

Since that was the case and Jeter is/was the Captain. He had no choice
