This may be off-topic but,

"People ask me who's gonna win the NL Central, the wild card....i say you have to say the Reds because they've hung around this long, so why not?"

He's trying to put nice shine on the NL -- which is struggling this year.

It's getaway day to the West coast for both teams, impossible

I believe the players have to approve a DH...its in the CBA. No chance they agree to a DH tommorrow with having to fly out west after the game tommorrow.

Thanks. Hopefully I can become a sports agent in 3 years.

That would be awesome! Just believe in yourself. :)

I'm hoping to go to law school next year. I graduated college in 12/01, and was accepted into a couple law schools in '03, but didn't go for various reasons. If I do go, I'll be one of the old folks (27 by then), but that's OK.

Albany Law School, just a little.

Law School's a blast. Assuming you enjoy the law, of course. I couldn't stand busting it for undergrad classes that I didn't and never would care about, but I enjoyed almost all my law studies.

You know, I've been debating whether or not I'm missing out by not buying 360. I've been buying games for the PC for years now (Madden, MVP, NHL) and I think the graphics are great on that platform especially when you have the video card, memory and processor to pull it off.

But I went to a Best Buy during the winter and tried out Madden 06 for 360 in HD and I was stunned to see the resolution and graphics.

There's really not a lot of quality games out for it yet, IMO.

True, but you'll make more money, so they'll get paid off.

I totally hear you on the rich parents thing. One of my best friends, same age as I am, took five years to finish her bachelor's. OK, that's pretty normal these days. She then took a non-paid internship in D.C., and then worked at a fairly low-paying job writing for a newsletter. She then decided that she wanted to move back to Washington state, where she'd spent much of her childhood, because she wanted to write a novel. She worked as a substitute teacher every once in a while, living rent-free while housesitting for some people. She was able to do all this because her parents have money. They also paid for her car. Last fall, she went back for another bachelor's degree, this time in physics (the first one was in clarinet performance and when she didn't get into grad school, no good). I always think when I talk to her, "It must be nice to have parents with money!" I'm just jealous!

The summer between 2nd and 3rd years, I worked closely with a major sports agency while a summer associate at a NYC firm. They offered me a job out of school, initially with their in-house counsel.

I went to work, passed the bars, and immediately transferred to the talent rep division due to my legal knowledge. Only legal expertise necessary was contracts. Left the company upon their acquisition by a major firm a bunch of years ago, and now work in the game in a position where my legal backround is never officially needed (though it is ALWAYS good to have a law degree, I've found).

My favorite was Decathalon for the old Atari. You would almost break a wrist jamming the joystick back and forth furiously to complete the 100 yd dash.

Anyone remember the old Channel 11 afternoon interactive video games? Where they'd have a bulls-eye in the middle of the screen, and the callers would shout "Pix!" as things passed through the eye?

That was in the late 70's, early 80's..

Like Hogan will come back just to job someone. Will never happen.

Why must WWE insist on bringing Hogan back once or twice a year to begin with. I have yet to understand that. They have been able to move on from HBK in his prime, Stone Cold and The Rock. I'm pretty sure they can go without Hogan. But for whatever reason, they keep bringing him back.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. Austin and Rock was a double whammy because it seemed like they both left from wrestling at the same time and killed the company. I respect HHH alot,.but even he cant carry the entire load for the company.

It was a mixture of that, and then the sudden rash of major injuries and situations to other guys have just made it hard for them to keep that edge they had from 1998-2002.

If the Sox were losing, the tarps would still be on the field..

I probably would have woken up and checked my fridge to see if there was any food left.

Bonnie, would the near-perfect game really be one of his FAVORITE memories? Well, maybe it was, who knows.

Yeah, they were all out on Newbury street this afternoon, we were lunching outside at Stephanie's and just saw them all walk by. Everyone looked normal, but AROD was scowling, it was so funny, he almost looked like zoolander walking down the street. Poor guy just needs to relax.

Glad mooooose is back and making the first out.

A-rod probably didn't like the prices on that street :) Tough to afford some of those stores.

Do you own a gun? If so, did you wake up with it?

No... he actually didn't stay very long. He just left to ride the subway to Yankee Stadium. (I live in virginia, so I don't know how that worked)

For the Yanks to take the lead in the next few innings, probably. I've seen a bunch of Schilling starts this year where he looks great early then runs into significant trouble as the game progresses. If Moose keeps them to 4 in 6....Yanks have a very good shot tonight (though will face Papelbon for a full 2 if the Sox are leading).

I dont want to have to see us score 5-6 runs from behind againt Schilling and Papelbon. Thats expecting alot.

Jeter, Abreu, Giambi due up, if we make Schilling really work and push a run across next inning we'll be in good shape. He fatigues quickly.
