You have got to be kidding me. We'll be lucky to get out of this inning with the lead.
Well since he was limping and not falling on the ground hopefully it is just a contusion.

The 7 run 7th. How sweet it was. Lets recap. (SOSH, enjoy these because I know your reading. Go back to your beer and shut the f*ck up.)
COURTESY OF NESN-HD
First it was the Melk Man delivering.

Then, it was DJ delivering the 3run double to give the Yanks an 11-10 lead.

Then it was A-Rod coming through (Sox fans, you can keep booing him if you want).

And the Yanks were done yet. Robbie Cano...dont ya know! He came through to drive in 2.

OK....that shouldn't be a major problem. Maybe a bruise, but I don't think it's broken- wouldn't have been able to recover like that.
I think Mo pitches 2 if they get the hit here, Proctor gets maybe two outs if he gets the out here.
Tomorrow is Randy and Mo or no go.

08-18-06, 11:12 PM
Scotty's on FIRE !
I go to Mo for 2 for a couple of reasons. One, Proctor pitching another inning is not great. He didn't seem to have great command just now. Two, you quite likely win the game. Three....he's very well rested and can easily pitch two.
Then you give Randy and Dotel the game tomorrow- and if Mo is somewhat efficient, he could also go one. Otherwise, throw the middle innings to the wolves and close your eyes.

they should sign leiter to an hour contract, DFA nick green, and bring him in to pitch
If Letier pitched in this game we'd reach the 6 hour mark with no trouble.

I have to give the fans at the park a lot of credit... there doesn't look to be any empty seats.
Where else are they going to go beside the bars anyway? May as well stay and watch the game.
However, the last T from Kenmore leaves at 12:35. There will be alot of people missing that tonight.
will Mo come in for the 8th?I'm sure he'll come in IN the eighth if there's even one base runner, but I'm betting Torre will let Proctor start it.
Make it a blowout game and let Beam pitch.

08-18-06, 11:14 PM
if mo goes two it means we probably win. if we win RJ goes at least 7 innings no matter how he does i would think. and if he can do that we'll just have to finish up with some combo of beam/dotel to close it out.
also, wright only lasted a few innings the other day. im sure he's got a throw day somewhere. he could get an inning in if needed right?
Yeah...who's throw day is it tommorrow?? They need to be saved and used out of the pen if necessary, kinda like how we used Wang to close out a game in Baltimore earlier in the year.

As unlikely as it is, we can't afford any rainouts out west, it'd only leave to missing a scheduled off day, an unexpected trip out west to play one game, or a possibly double header..... we don't need that.Your right, better to take our medicine now.But as it was posted earlier, no worries, cause it doesn't rain here in the summer.

I agree 100%. We obviously have a great chance to win now, it'd best to go for the kill with Mo. Take the 3.5 lead tonight and hope for the best tomorrow, let the pen recover for the next 2 days

I'm all for using Mo for 2 innings. At this point you have to win this game....it would be demoralizing not to.
Johnson is just gonna have to suck it up tommorrow....good or bad, if we lose...so be it. I feel good about Moose-Schilling on Sunday.

It's a knowing laugh more than a funny laugh. My knees are shot and my back is chronically bad and I'm a 26 year old who hasn't played baseball since I was 18. How the hell those guys play 162 games a year is beyond me as well.
