i think their plan was to activate him after game #1 and DFA JOhnson

So Johnson really has a big vested interest in this game....if he wins it, he only goes to Pawtucket. If he screws it up, he goes to the Red Sox farm team in Malaysia. :D

It's weird, A-Rod's never been a player that's been a favorite of mine, but I want him to do well so much more than any other player that's ever been on the Yankees.

If you wrote this about the at bat in the first, you would get resistance but you'd have more of an argument. That AB was fine- laid off two balls, then attacked when ahead in the count- got a good pitch, hit it just a bit fat. No problem there.

Cant fault him when he hit a ball well I know what you are saying, but at some point, you have to say, you either did the job or you did not do the job.. That inning was good, but the key at bat to make it a huge inning was Arod, and he did not do it, and I have been one of his biggest supporters, but he has got to come through.. He has had two unproductive at bats in cripple situations. He has a single, but it was with no one on base.. Just the facts... Not talking trash here, but this guy has got to start getting hits with runners on, I don't care if they are dunkers...
