do you have the numbers? Myers v Ortiz?

5 AB's in 2006 is not enough to build a case, but Oritz is now .400 (2 for 5) vs. Myers.

But, with the eyes....Oritz hasn't had good swings off of him this year. Take the HR early in the season out of the equation and Myers has done his job vs. Ortiz.

(as I type Ortiz grounds out WEAKLY and doesn't advance the runner...)

late reply...With using Proctor now, he probably wont be able to pitch tonight. If he struggles in the 8th and the next guy struggles after him. It will leave us very thin for tonights game. A game where we will need alot of rested arms.

I say send proctor out for the 8th. He didn't throw too many pitches. Also if you can go Proctor/Rivera, you can have Villone/Farnsworth tonight to close it out and Dotel as backup.

I would prefer they do. They will be up against the bottom of the order and it keeps Proctor relatively fresh for duty tonight or tomorrow. Do you think Bruney can go 2 tonight? That way Beam will be good for potential mop up duty tonight.

I do not see the Yankees and Sox as evenly match-uped as asserted by Francona and then Kay. Yankees have the advantage of the bullpen (cite game currently being played) and the Yankees have a better line up. The starting pitching may be close, but IMO in the overall games played, I think the Yanks have the advantage.
