So I am going to be banned for stating I am very dissapointed tonight, I think Boston will win, and wanting to be able to not have to fight it out with Boston down the stretch? Sounds fair.Honestly, persistant negativity has caused people to lose GT access. Here is what Jim wrote last year. To the best of my knowlege, only one of the people banned as of this post has ever been back.
As of this afternoon, 15 of your fellow users have had their access to the Game Thread Forum removed due to excessive negativity or impeding on the ability of others to enjoy the GT's over the course of this season so far. Some of the users who were banned from the game threads are some of the more frequent game thread participants, while others had just a few posts that crossed the line. So regardless of whether you post all the time in the game threads or post very little, you're not immune from the same sort of action.
I warned everyone about this (http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?t=70263), but didn't really do anything about it. This year is going to be different. The game threads have been all but completely dilluted with negativity and player bashing. I won't even get into the kindergarten-level style of writing that's become commonplace. http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?t=81720
This is not only directed at you. There are a lot of people in here who seem to go completely to pieces when we give up a few runs.
I really hate acting as thought police, but I'm really here to carry out Jim's wishes, so I will do that if need be.

i learned my lesson when i was banned...though suprisingly, my grades didnt go up during that time...they stayed the same...:lol:

Nobody is forcing you to read my post. There is this thing called an ignore list. Last time I checked venting frustration wasnt against the rules.

Papelbon's long inning on Sunday probably the reason he didn't begin the 9th tonight.....Francona always goes to him tied at home.

The pen has been pretty good for the past couple of weeks. Joe now trusts Villone, and is putting him in big spots -- and Villone is succeeding. Plus, with more use of Villone, Proctor is getting more rest and pitching well.

Could you please link his minor league splits. I've been scouring the internet for a good site with no luck.
I got the majority of the split info from Baseball America and I also lived in Trenton within 2 miles of the stadium and went a lot. His major league splits nearly mirror his minor league ones. No problem letting him hit vs LHPs just to see if he evntually can, but not batting 6th.
