Anybody else here worried about Kluivert getting burnt out? This is the 4th GT he started in a row. My elbow's STILL killing me from my last GT Start.
Of course, I'm a rapidly aging, miserable bastard. :gulp:

Hey Lou, I meant to ask you....How come gehrig38 didn't get suspended yesterday?? He wrote about a game he pitched in Yankee Stadium and he said that he "sucked." He clearly violated the CS!

Have no fear, Kluivert is our Scott Proctor. Only difference is Proctor starts warming up in his sleep and Kluivert starts game threads when he should be asleep.

Of course, I'm a rapidly aging, miserable bastard. :gulp:Although I won't contest your description of yourself (:P:gulp:), it really isn't about age or disposition. Keep in mind that Carlos Zambrano, a big , nasty righthander, missed a start last season because of a wrist problem that was due to his spending so much time at his keyboard chatting with family in Venezuala.
Good evening everyone.
The Yankees are +120 underdogs at home tonight. While not unprecedented, that hasn't happened more than a handful of times this century.
I say it is a value opportunity, and I'm throwing a small wager on them.
Go Yankees!
Why the hell is Zambrano chatting with his family in Venezuala? Can't he afford one of those video phone things?

Good evening my people.
Looking to bring the countdown down to 43 tonight. Lineup doesnt look as promising, but we'll have to live with it.
I'll have updates from Comerica Park where the White Sox and Tigers are going at. Fenway Park, where the Royals will try to get everyone's hopes up again before losing. And I may even check in with an update from Minnesota as Liriano and Kazmir face off.
I'll have caps tonight. Sidney, welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.
Go Yankees!

Derek Jeter has a higher OBP than Giambi.
He's hitting like 80 points higher, so it makes sense. Giambi can't walk that much.

this could be an audition for Pinero coming to the Bronx before the deadline.
rumor is that he is on the block.
Ponson's three start audition has gotten off to a rocky start. Plus How could they give him #24? Don't we have any numbers in the 50's to give him.

Waldman mentioned that on the pre-game. The Sox also sent Jason Johnson down to Pawtucket.
I can't see the catcher. Can someone tell Ponson to move.
BTW, could someone who caught the pregame tell me whether Torre said anything about A-Rod's injury? How did the X-rays come out?

Negative, but he's just playing it safe. (I didn't hear that on the pre-game, but I heard it on TV earlier.)Thanks! I couldn't believe he didn't say anything on the radio pregame (Sterling spent half the time slot wishing him Happy Birthday) ... almost makes you want to believe the things they say about a "fake" injury.
