Was just about to post this. We hsould be able to score vs. Traschel but Johnson better not screw it up and he better pitch like he has been lately. I want at least 7 or 8 innings from him, we used 4 bull pen pitchers yesterday. Id rather hes just go 8 and give it to MO.

The fact that they are still using the "This One Counts" slogan for the All Star game is extremely stupid.

Just noticed that Trachsel's ERA is better than Randy's. That changes today.

I think...I think...the clock starts ticking for the 5 year eligibility only after you stop playing ANY professional baseball. So...what, he played last year in San Diego right? With the Surf Dawgs or something? So...I think he has to wait longer..

But I could be wrong.. it could just be 5 years from MLB

It's Torre's fault for not putting the players in the best position to succeed. Giambi strikes out a lot. It's one of his flaws. He takes a lot of pitches and he strikes out...

Also, please explain to me what the reason to have the runners go there is? If Giambi strikes out, which he often does, it sucks. If he walks, which he often does, it doesn't matter. I mean, you have to think before you put this move on. It will hurt you more than it will help you - especially with Giambi up.

Reyes is one of the hardest working guys in baseball. Maybe he should try to work a walk every once in a while. He's got 29. And for him BBs are like doubles so pitchers are hesitant to put him on.

Exactly, and that seems to be the problem as of late, we get great chances to score time and time again but never get it done. It's because we always have two or three black holes in the lineup ... and they can't get runs in ... and that puts more pressure on the guys who can actually hit ... and so they can't get runs in either ... :o

It's a vicious circle. Aside from the two-Giambi-homer game last Monday, how long has it been since we've scored our former average of five runs in a game?

Good point, and I dont even want to think about your posed question.
I do want to add though that KT owns a MLB caliber bat and should therefore be in the lineup, now more than ever.

cairo is horrible

cairo isnt in there for his hitting. His glove is just as good and most of the time better than Cano hands down. As for the bat, Cano has the power.

I would not be surprised if Randy went 8 innings allowing 2-3 runs but we still lose because of this offence.
