I know that, but I was referring more to the premature reaction to Cabrera's early defensive woes and the Giambi saga of last season.
Watch, if Thompson comes up empty or makes an error or two, there will be a contingent of people questioning the callup, rather than giving him some time to adjust to big league pitching.

I'm getting sick and tired of the "in the vicinity/area" rule with SS's dragging their foot across the base. Umps need to start making a point about making the correct call when slick fielding SS's are completely off the bag by the time they get the flip from the second baseman. Baseball is a sport of precision. These umps need to be more precise about their calls. imho

MLB.tv feed just went down. great.
Isn't it amazing, Randy Johnson can look so bad at the beginning of the game and then come back and seem like a totally different pitcher, it's amazing, but hey thats baseball can't predict it.
I have grown to despise Sterling. He used to be entertaining to listen to, but now just comes off as senile and incredibly annoying. He will literally repeat the same statement for 20 mins at times.

Cano and Melky are opposites. Cano swings at everything and never walks and Melky is very selective and walks.

See, I agree with all of that but Bobby. I am partial to him just because I love the guy and his elderly country kind of charm. Sterling, however, will just repate something over and over to the point where you want to punch your radio. The specific game which comes to mind is the loss to Mcclung in wich the Yankees had a ridiculous amount of walks and lost. He literally just repeated the number of walks every single at bat for every single player.
