Mo is at 16 pitches. Do we see him for a third inning?
we have no choice
especially if we get the lead this inning
no one else in the pen is anything
who is left
villone and meyers
getting rid of that third catcher would have helped
yankees27
05-30-06, 09:44 PM
Derek and Jason, time to make up for your earlier performances.
montyque
05-30-06, 09:44 PM
Do we keep Mo in another inning? he's only thrown 16 pitches. I'd say yes.
One more. And then, maybe Myers? The Tigers have, though, IIRC, a righty lineup.
dabomb2045
05-30-06, 09:44 PM
Mo should def come out for the 11th
My guess is...Yanks take the lead, Mo. Tied, Villone.

Hell, why would he take him out. Joe!

05-30-06, 09:45 PM
why 1st pitch swing???
alversonk
05-30-06, 09:45 PM
Moose and Maddux are also great fielding pitchers, but Mo is a great athlete in addition, which leads to more range and more spectacular plays

05-30-06, 09:45 PM
Question: Mo, by my count, has thrown 16 pitches in his 2 innings. Do you leave him in there for another inning or not? I wouldn't blame Joe either way personally, just wondering.
Joe says no...
man i hate the first pitch swinging by jeter
I think if the Yankees score, Mo will come out again.
If not, he's done for the evening.

we can't make fun of anouncers now?It is right in the title.
Bashing Players, Managers, the Media, etc:
Bashing of players , anyone who works for the Yankees or covers the Yankees will not be tolerated. That goes for ALL players and ALL teams . But remember - negative analysis is NOT bashing, provided it is backed up with fact. For example:
Bashing a player would be saying:
"Derek Jeter sucks!"
Whereas a legitimate analysis of a player would be:
"I don't think that Derek Jeter is the best defensive shortstop in the league, but based on his fielding percentage and range factor, he isn't near the bottom of the list either."
In addition, bashing players on other teams, other athletes, celebrities or others in the public eye will also not be tolerated. Link (http://www.nyyfans.com/communityStandards.php#8)
And how is calling someone a d*ck making fun of them?
MaximMan121

I mentioned this in a previous gt... Guidry made the most amazing play that I have ever seen made by a pitcher. He threw Rod Carew out on a perfect 2 strike bunt for basehit. Carew couldn't believe anyone could possibly have thrown him out on that play. Guidry was an amazing fielder on bunts and slow rollers... I have never seen anyone better.

I don't know if I would go that far. But he has been much better of late - that's for sure.
right handed AT LEAST, you at least have to give him that...

Andy, get Melky to the plate.
I don't know if I would go that far. But he has been much better of late - that's for sure.
He is smoking the ball right handed and holding his own against slow-tossing righties. But you throw a hard throwing righty in there and he is not compettitve.

Good news for APhillips -- Jones' breaking ball is gone, so another pitcher comes out

Andy, I think you'll see some breaking balls.
Just a thought.

hey, nobody tell Bernie is 2006, not 1996. Bernie is proving that given a few days off and far less time in the field is beneficial to him and he can still contribute
Guidry was a great defensive OFer. Actually, I think Mo could play CF better than anyone else on the team now.
BTW, folks, Bernie hit that from the left side. From the right, his OPS is over a 1.000.

I wanna know why the heck Zumaya isn't the closer. Heck with Jones and Rodney.
Man I also hope we REALLY beat Robertson around like a pinata with all the crap I've had to hear from him being mic'd up today.

For example, Bernie had NO chance against Zumaya....unless he cheats with his swing, guesses right and gets a fastball...even then he may not catch up to it.

Bernie is a fine swing outfielder/DH. Sierra's role last year
I want to see Melky hit for the cycle so Andy had better do something.

With that rest, more pop from Bernie's bat.

Zumaya probably has control issues. I could look it up, but.... eh.
I think the Texas Double Whopper could kill a man.

Yeah, but Bernie can hit to all fields. Ruben Sierra does not.
Base hit and we breathe a bit easier.

Probably, but Rodney just about lost the game with 2 wild pitches himself.

Its actually gotten so annoying, that I have muted the game.
I think on WCBS, you can still hear him. Thats why Sterling has been louder in his calls tonight trying to drown out our rather loud fans.

Good job Andy. Lets go Melky.
Despite that hit.... Bernie can not be called a good hitter from the left side.
Eh... I'd say he hasn't been a good hitter from the left side so far this year. During the past 3-4 seasons, he's actually been better from the left side (by just a bit).

I love Bernie. Love him. But I'm also honest about him. Right handed he has been really really good. Left handed he has been bad - although he's been better of late.
Great job Andy!
Allright, bring in Villone.
