I think enough time has been wasted talking about A-Rod's issue. The real problem on this team is pitching tonight.
Totally....
I think people need to find another whipping boy.
Arod isn't the problem.
The rotation is....

Posada? Melky? Damon?
OPS is great, but it can be a power heavy stat. I remember JWF had posted a modified version of OPS that leveled out the OBP with the SLG a bit more fairly.
Perhaps he'll chime in....
Damon only at 28% but I forgot about JoPo, my mistake.

Watch Stinnet come up with the bases loaded.
And he would still hit and drive in tons of runs.
He supposedly wants to leave because of the Boston media, what do you think his reaction is going to be when he is on the back of every NY paper labelling him a complete fool?

no way. good hitter or not, i say that ass clown does not belong on the yankees. i do believe yankees have standards.
Lets not get into a situation where we are debating ethics and morals and talking about the Yankees in the same breath. I mean, come on, we do have two steroid users on the team (one admittant and one "unwillingly").
Lets not make the Yanks out to be the champions of standards here. Hell, the Yanks were thinking of signing Albert Belle after the 98 season and even thought about signing Manny after 2000 in case you forgot.

Mirabelli said Arod with so many homers should know when he hits one(as if he was acting thinking it was a pop up), Kay asked that if Manny with so many homers would need to admire each one.
Wow... That was hard.

Watch Stinnet come up with the bases loaded.
K4E, there goes my definition of big hit.
Now, Stinnett get HBP and a run scores. But here, Clement is on the ropes and the Yanks can make him pay if they simply get a big hit. Its not necessarily clutch, but just a big hit.
It seems like every pitch on the corner is given to him.

For the guy who asked about Van Buren
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.asp?sport=MLB&id=327
looks like he has good potential, maybe a little bit of a righthanded Matt Smith although I know very little about him outside of this Rotoworld profile so don't quote me on that

Anyone read sports guy today? He said there was no way the Yankees would throw to Papi if Joe Torre was still alive.
I'm going to temper my enthusiasm, he has faced an injured Peña, Mohr, and now Agon
