Of course it was a bad pitch, but you are still being selective with your criticism based on who it was. If it were Cairo, who Torre has taken fire for putting in the lineup, you would have said something like "guess Cairo in the lineup was the right move"

I am going with 17-3....A-Rod will hit a 2-run HR in the 8th or 9th after it is already 17-1.
Chacon was due for a bad game and we are playing a bunch of backups.
We didnt need a center fielder, we needed better starting pitching. 3/5 of our rotation are no name pitchers with pretty shakey backgrounds...chacon, wang, wright (ok he's got a name)....I mean this is not the rotation of a winning team. And plus you throw in a mediocre RJ and we are not looking so great. It will take a few years to undo the mess of the Tampa contingent. Dont we all kind of know that?

First of all, I did not say that YOU were responsible for the Torre and Bernie one-liners. I simply mentioned the one-liners to help you find the true agendas that exist here, since you seem to have assumed the role of agenda-policeman-of-the-day.
It is no secret that I happen to admire Torre, and that I really don't think that Andy Phillips is second coming the way that many here do.
That has nothing to do with the fact that Andy crushed a a hanging pitch. I gave him credit for a nice hit. I described the pitch. If, given my history here, that colors whatever I say pertaining to Phillips, then so be it.
But I resent you putting words in my mouth, and your attempt to beat down any type of comment that does not conform to what the flock of lemmings believes.

baserunners we need baserunners.
I went overboard analyzing what you said, etc, don't think this is an argument worth having, I guess I just also resented at the time what I felt was an effort to take away from one of the few good things Andy Phillips has had on the Yankees. I dont think he is the second coming either, but I feel he could probably be an ok platoon against lefties if Torre used him correctly (and bear in mind "correctly" is according to me).
I dislike lemmings too and I don't really feel I put words in your mouth, so Im sorry if it came off that way.
Just came back from coaching a Junior League (13-14 yr olds) Game (my son's on the team). We got 10 run ruled as we lost 12 - 0.
Got in the car to hear the Yankee score. Yay.
The Yankees will surprise nearly everyone though. They will chip away and win this thing.

So, what exactly is undercoating and do I actually need it?;)
undercoating is something designed to keep all kinds of crap from damaging the underside of your car.
but unless you drive through construction sites or have a ton of salt on the roads during winter, i'd skip it.
if you do have it...it's pretty helpful

Bashing is not a good thing here.
Bashing Players, Managers, the Media, etc:
Bashing of players , anyone who works for the Yankees or covers the Yankees will not be tolerated. That goes for ALL players and ALL teams . But remember - negative analysis is NOT bashing, provided it is backed up with fact. For example: Bashing a player would be saying:
"Derek Jeter sucks!"
I do not understand this rule based on what goes on in this forum. A large number of the posts here by a large number of the posters consist of nothing more than slams on Joe Torre and/or Bernie Williams. Sometimes there is analysis, but usually there are only snide insults of one or the other or perhaps of another poster who dares to defend Torre. If this is not "bashing", I do not know what is.

The pitching scares me. Especially, when an RJ start can be viewed as a throw away game.

Wake up Joe! Use Cairo as an emergency backup IF and use Phillips at 1B, not as a DH!!!
