Some interesting events last week. There are no undefeated teams left after the dust has settled. The Truth & the Squeaks defied logic and both got their first wins vs 5-0 teams. (Thank you Squeaks)

Here is how things will shape up this week......

The Peppers try and get back on the horse this week (1 GB) while the Plant are still locked up with the Wood for second place in the Ruth. I predict the Plant will get the 3rd generator working sometime this week.

Is that a sliver in your paw? Ah, what a cute little kitty. The poor luck Ligers come limping into the House of Sticks to mostly look at the pictures of greatness hanging on the walls. A fantasy baseball game may actually get played this week too.

The feature matchup of the week. The Bombers fresh off their first loss of the season will try to derail the Wolvies who have won 4 straight. Bombers look to increase their 2 game lead in the Ruth Division while the Wolvies are fighting a battle just to sit alone atop the Dimaggio Division. Game can be seen on ESPN Ocho.

On the other end of the spectrum the Futility Bowl takes place in Nudeville. Personally I like the Nudies in this one - mostly for their cheerleaders. Rumours are swirling about a Jeff Kent departure.

After a minor setback in Week 1 the Empire has ripped off 5 straight W's. Steve usually doesn't have this many wins until the All Star break. The Slugs are wondering what is wrong with their team that looks perfectly fine on paper. Peter Gammons reports that the Slugs are feverishly working the phones to bring in the solution.

It doesn't take long to go from Fantasy Kingpin to Fantasy Trashbin. The battle of the last 2 Champjons was supposed to look better than this. The only thing I can say nice about these 2 teams is that the Squeaks have a 1 game winning streak to their credit. I think these teams will spend more time comparing rings this week than they will spend actually playing ball. As I predicted last week the Squeaks will win again - Miko is a perfect (1-0) this year. Pepto Bismol's MAJOR UPSET OF THE WEEK!

The Kill come into Louville with a 4 game winning streak but most impressive was last week's beating at the hands of undefeated Swingers. They look to make it 2 in a row against division leaders. The Lou's still have ink all over their hands from the latest edition of the Daily Snooze. They still have a comfortable 1 game cushion over the rival Marauders (who they have easily handled since 2004). :lol:

The team with the really long name heads overseas to play the Swingers. The Swingers are still reeling from a loss last week and expect them to put up a tough fight against a Nomo team that is sitting at the bottom of one of the toughest divisions in fantasy baseball.

"L" is for lumber. "J" is for Jacks. Cinamminy sweet Apple Jacks......ahem.....sorry. The fourth place Horsemen entertain the 3rd place Jacks this week. Rumour has it that "THE MAN" will be crowned this week.

A lot at stake this week for both teams. The Shelton's need a win to stay with the pack in the Mantle division while the Marauders can stop the presses if they win and the Lou's lose. 9 starts for each team this week is good news for the Shelton's while it is horrible news for the Marauders whose starters have been terrible as of late. Maybe some of them can stay out of the negative numbers and actually post a double digit total this week!

It's the dawn of a new day my friends. No longer is there shame to be Naked. No longer shall the Truth be viewed with contempt. No, the Bombers were the first of many who will not be able to handle the Truth. The ball has started to roll, and you will all fall before me!

Apples, it's a good thing you're Red. It'll camaflauge the spanking I'm going to administer this week!

I look forward to playing the Lou's this week. I've already knocked off two division leaders over the past 3 weeks. I'm about to add Lou to the Division Leader Kill list.

I have more points for than every other team in my division but the Lous, and yet I'm in last. If I remember correctly, I'd have beaten all but 2 or 3 teams (including, obviously, the one I played) this past week. If only guys would quit DL-ing themselves after I've already set my roster (usually about mid-week...maybe I should change that)...

Can't believe I am being Casey Janssen'd this week. That was a totally brutal start by the way Clive. Ah well, only down by 21 now thanks to Mr. Buehrle with 4 starts left to your 3. Hopefully the rest of the pitching staff learns from last night's performance and starts to produce for me.

I can't believe what a train wreck of a week this has turned out to be. First I get Janssen'ed for 35 points and now Buchholz throws a complete game for the Astros.
