why does jim kaat keep referring to the tanyon of last year? he had a 4.73 ERA and let up 76 hits in 78 innings. he was good for a little bit in '04 and should have replaced quantrill as the 7th inning guy, but by the time joe figured this out, he had lost his touch, leaving us with an effective sturtze for all of a few weeks...

Well, now that Wright's line is closed, I'll give him some :clap:. His last two starts have been better then any of us would have thought. Sorry Joe brought in the worst pitcher on the team Jaret!

I get home and see that Joe pulls a cruising Wright who's thrown 90 pitches thru 5. Questionable. Then I see Sturze in the game. Indefensible. Tanyon must have pictures of Torre with a sheep.

he hasn't been as bad overall as people get on him for.
he has had some good starts when he actually pitches
and this better be his only batter, but i bet joe runs him out there again

Tanyon Sturtze is not a good pitcher to begin with. His arm is overused. His confidence is gone.
