One positive: Wright is pitching well.

That's what I mean by the bashing. Saying "A-rod is killing us right now" is not bashing, its stating facts. But when someone says something like "choker" or "here comes the K", that's really annoying.

Kind of like all that relentless Torre hate we keep hearing. ;)

Kluivert4Ever
05-03-06, 07:53 PM
we can come back from this, but it would suck if we lost cause of one mistake.

When you score zero runs, all it takes is one mistake.:(

Thanks, Dave. I'll pass it along to him, the other John.

Agreed but people take it too far, Matsui is doing just as bad lately and nobody is saying anything about him. People are dicks to A-rod because he gets paid a lot...

I have seen plenty of people talking about Matsui slumping. I have even taken to calling him Groundzilla again...jokingly of course since he is one of my fav's. :P Nonetheless a lot of people take anything they can get to rip on ARod about and run with it.

It has a lot to do with the lineup he's facing, but yeah, he's pitching good.

Matsui, double
Williams K
Cano, single

Just some AAAA slugger who has problems with Major League breaking stuff.

have you guys read about Papelboner being an infielder in college, whose arm caught the eye of the pitching coach? maybe arod should pitch, ridding the lineup of his offensive problems.

I think I'd make that deal, in an NY minute.

The one thing about A-Rod that's hard to explain is that he has a career batting average of over .300 for every month of the season EXCEPT September (a.k.a. The Stretch-Run), where it's a significantly lower .272.
