It'd be nice if he didnt try to hit the ball 800 feet everytime and try to pull everything.
Looks like we are gonna get more of a 2004 season out of ARod, then a 2005 season :(
lol dont expect 2005 every year, that was like his third best year of his career, Id expect something in between the two in the end...

Wow, you give him a month and have absolutely no faith in him. If I remember correctly, he started out 2005 slowly and broke out of it in May. Give the man a chance, he's one of the best players in the game.

ROCCO AT FIRST? Rays CF Rocco Baldelli, who continues to rehabilitate a strained left hamstring, took ground balls at first base Tuesday. Friedman said it wasn't merely an exercise, that Baldelli could see time at first base occasionally when he returns (the timetable for which remains fluid).
"I think what will figure in that is how his elbow's doing," Friedman said. "I'm sure he may need a day off from the throw. This just adds to the flexibility."

And I would agree, before this year. He's a .300 hitter with average power, and plays gold glove defence at second base. So yes, he has been largely underrated over this career. But right now, he's batting .215 while starting nearly every game for Boston. That's a poor showing.

Not saying anything about Jaret Wright being a good pitcher, but do you guys think that the reason that he has gotten off to a bad start this year is because we haven't been getting enough runs in for him? Against Toronto we were having problems scoring runs for him, and today it looks like are too. Randy has had the luxury of us scoring runs during his bad starts but Jared Wright hasn't.

Tifoso, I have a comment.
I respect what moderators do on this forum to keep order, however, it has become a little ridiculous over the past few months. I would much rather hear lots of fans complain about players when they're performing poorly than have to read COUNTLESS posts about etiquette and the CS and threatening forum suspensions. Seriously, as much as I enjoy nyyfans.com, suspension from this forum would not change my life at all, and it just sounds like a ridiculous power trip on the part of mods. When someone comments on how they think A-Rod doesn't care, it doesn't made them any less of a fan than you. When I say that Wright has sucked for the early part of this year, it doesn't make me less of a person than you. Threaten those posters who are egregious and leave the little man in peace. Its a forum, an online community. If this place disappears tomorrow morning, there may be a few tears, but another one will pop up in its place in no time. Don't take it that seriously - its just offensive and a little pathetic.

We'll see. He seems to be headed towards a 2004 season...which for him and his talent level is unacceptable.
Like I said, he hasnt looked this bad since the early part of 2004.
As I showed he also looked this bad and worse(because of his lackluster defense at the start of the season) last season up until the anaheim game, a week earlier in the season than we are at today...
How do you know?
our lineup doesn't have a run producer who isn't slumping and they are going to pitch around Giambi
The fact that Jaret Wright has thrown more balls than strikes shows that his success tonight has everything to do with the Devil Rays' joke of a lineup and nothing to do with Wright's pitching.
Agreed.

Right because hitters weren't getting walks in front of A-rod last year. And Giambi only started walking when he started hitting on front of A-rod.
