And now it's an easy matchup for them... Before you would have to bring in the lefty to face Giambi and then Sheff gets to face a lefty. Or Giambi would face a righty. I just don't understand why you wouldn't make the switch.

The fact that Torre acts so unbelievably amazed when Steinbrenner calls him out in the papers for these piss poor moves is amazing. If I were owner I would be far more digusted than I am now, and I'm pretty damn disgusted. Just imagine what he must feel like condering the money he flushes down the toilet on relievers who are not properly used.

I think it was atrocious in both games. How does he lose two tied games in the 8th inning or later with the 10th and 11th pitchers on the roster? All we've seen from the A's in those situations is Duchscherer, Kennedy, and Street. He used Sturtze and Villone in the 15-1 game a situation that SCREAMED for Jaret Wright. One inning no matter how many pitches he throws?? He threw ten pitches in 2/3 of an inning last night.
As sad as it is to say this, yes - Kay said he would not use Farnsworth in two consecutive innings because "that's not the type of pitcher he is". What the HELL does THAT even mean???
Reading that just made me quesy. He was willing to throw god damn 38 year old Tom Gordon out there day after day at times for multiple innings and in blowouts, but NOW Farnsworth is a max one inning guy.

When she was doing a show on WFAN, some guy called in and asked her, being very polite, how she could be the Yankee announcer when she grew up a Sox fan. She got incredibly defensive and started blabbering on about how she saw Pesky and blah blah blah and legitimately got upset with the very polite caller. She was saying how it was a job and he wouldn't understand. It was completely ridiculous.

I think it was atrocious in both games. How does he lose two tied games in the 8th inning or later with the 10th and 11th pitchers on the roster? All we've seen from the A's in those situations is Duchscherer, Kennedy, and Street. He used Sturtze and Villone in the 15-1 game a situation that SCREAMED for Jaret Wright. He hasn't used Mo at all...and we have an off day tomorrow. Just ridiculous.
I don't disagree. I actually wanted to b*tch about Torre using Villone and Sturtze int he 15-1 game but I figured people would get on me for complaining about that.
Oh well, this game is over now.

It's Torre's fault. He put guys in positions to fail. Farnsworth last night could of came in to the game after rolling through 2 guys and started a fresh inning. Instead, Torre decides to lose that game and bring Farnsworth in to a jam this game, already 2 runs behind.
