2-2 pitch was close, but was a ball. Not happy with how Wang responded to the error. He was absolutely cruising, and then unraveled with the big error. Strange for him, but it was his obvious turning point.

he has good stuff and good demeanor...for some reason he didnt have his good command. nothing you can do when you dont have great command or you lose it quickly.
his last st start was not that great either and they chalked it to his quick outing prior to it.

Posada says it- not sure anyone else does. He certainly doesn't- Johnson's stuff, even now at his age, is superior. Wang might have the best movement and dive on his pitches, but he doesn't have the best stuff. I mean, the best pitch in all of baseball resides with Mo. Jorge also doesn't seem to like RJ all that much, so I could see that as being a way to tweak him.

On Opening Night the Yanks hung 15 runs on the A's. They kept piling runs on top of runs until they broke they A's spirit.
Just because the Yanks haven't been able to hit Harden and Haren (two great young pitchers) doesn't mean they don't have a "killer instinct"

If you have struck out LOOKING twice already in one game, you should be swinging at anything within 6 inches of the strike zone with 2 strikes on you.

I have a hunch this lineup exists because Sheffield would bitch about being moved down in the order.
I agree though, either Matsui or Giambi should bat between ARod and Sheffield.

About hitting 5th? I don't think so.
And now it's an easy matchup for them... Before you would have to bring in the lefty to face Giambi and then Sheff gets to face a lefty. Or Giambi would face a righty. I just don't understand why you wouldn't make the switch.
