Passing on doing the right thing (Brandon Wood, etc.) the Style announces a sentimental pick, although one that stands to actually pay off, too.

I am looking at 4 players. Three legit and one sentimental pick.
Legits: (in order of consideration)
Anthony Reyes, RHP, Cards
Chuck Jamese, LHP, Braves
Eric Duncan, 3B, Yanks
Sentimental:
Adam Wainwright, RHP, Cards (He is from my hometown and I grew up playing ball against him)

Reyes is supose to be the goods, no? He may be in the big this year, though (if he isn't already).

He was who I am leaning towards. He has been optioned to AAA to work on his sinker, but yeah an injury call-up is eminent. He was their #1 prosp for 2004 & 2005.

Congrats to everyone! mL draft wrapped up in 4 days.
Excellent job! Draft updated. Picks added to rosters soon. :)
All minor leaguers taken in the recently completed minors draft have been added to your minor leagues with a contract for $5. Please check your rosters to make sure everything is OK.

Minor league question:
If you promote a minor leaguer to your roster, can you claim another minor leaguer to add to your roster at $5?

E- just to clarify- if a guy is up for 10 days prior to Sept 1 AND it isn't for injury reasons, he should not be able to be picked up as a mL even if he still has rookie eligibility.
Basically, I think we should treat it like every mL is on someone's roster prior to the season starting. Once they are promoted, you have 10 days to activate them. If not, they become ML free agents.
Thoughts?

I think if someone is in the major leagues, they are a major leaguer. So if you sign someone in the majors currently, you can't stick him in your minors...you need to sign him BEFORE he gets called up.
Just my thoughts...

Players that got cups of coffee last year qualify as minor league eligible prior to the season starting. They're still rookie eligible and haven't played in "real" ML time (non-September call-up).
So how about once they are on a ML roster and it's not September, they aren't eligible for the minors?

I don't think it should matter if it's September or not. If you sign a player who is on a major league roster, you have to put him on your active roster and pay him $10. Makes keeping track a lot easier.

If the player is still eligible for the ROY, he's eligible to be taken as a minor leaguer prior to the season starting. I don't think that should be comprimised...

I see both sides to this situation.
I don't think it would be fair to claim someone like Anthony Lerew if he were called up in September and stash him in your minors if he is on the major league roster.
OTH, if he is still eligible for ROY, he should be able to be drafted with a mL pick if he doesn't start the season on a major league roster.

Of course. But only if he's a free agent.
