Former Phillies prospect Francisco Butto is involved in a murder investigation in Venezuela, sources told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

A clubhouse attendant was killed during the winter league season when a gun was fired in the clubhouse. Butto, who signed a minor league deal with the Yankees after being let go by the Phillies, is barred from leaving the country.

I just checked the online archives of the local papers here and there's nothing on Butto being under investigation. I dont even remember hearing about the clubhouse death....

EDIT: He was even listed on venezuelas provisional roster a few weeks ago... and winterball season ended a few weeks ago, not that the police is very fast down here.

That's scary. So because he can't leave, does that mean he's a suspect?
