Heyo. Looking for some help.

I live out east on Long Island, and my brother-in-law to be and his girlfriend are coming to visit for the extended weekend. I want to try to impress him(them) being that I just got engaged to his sister last week. We're all in the 25 - 27 range, so partying is always an option.

It's winter, so the LI charm is somewhat lost, no beaches, no wine, no farm stands. I'm looking for some creative stuff to do either out here or in the city. I've done some reasearch but i need more creative. I'm sick of the old eat/drink/be merry.

I would love any suggestions of places to go or people to see. Whoever can come up with something creative and fun that we'll do (maybe a new band, place to go, something please!) i'll buy a beer at the Stadium this spring.

Thank you all in advance.

I got Monday off and am heading to Philly with the lady friend to see my cousin and party a bit. He and his girlfriend are playig host, since I don't know Philly at all. Do the same for your visitors, and take them places you go often- maybe you'll see your local area with a fresh viewpoint. Where they coming from?

Where are they coming from? (That way you could plan something unique)

I was hoping you wouldn't ask. Beantown. I'm still considering introducing them to Jimmy Hoffa.

Get them some Manhattan Clam Chowda.

No, but maybe check out some nice restaurants, or take em for some skiing or snowboarding.

If you guys like going to lounges, swing by Canal Room (google it) on Saturday... comped entrance until midnight. No need for guestlist.

It's funny but right after I wrote that Hoffa thing, I looked him up on Wikipedia, and it says:

On Febuary 14th, 2006, Lyndia Milito, wife of Louie Milito of the Gambino crime family, announced that her husband killed Jimmy Hoffa and dumped his body near York's Verrazano Narrows Bridge. She claimed that her husband told her this during a argument in 1988

Did anyone else know that that was revealed 2 days ago? I must've missed it.

Back on the topic of what to do, Snowboarding/Skiing would probably be better done up by them, Long Island doesn't have any hills. I plan on eating a lot, but I was hoping for something out of the ordinary. Yankee Stadium is a great idea, just not the right crowd ;)
