Thanks for reminding me, Rob- I was going to come in here yesterday and start up this thread.

We can use this thread to discuss changes, auction dates, etc.

Preemptively, though: As with last year, there will not be a bench. This is not subject for debate! (Sorry, Steve-O!)

Ideas for us to begin the discussion:

*Limitations on DL slots.

*Waiver peiod

*Trade execution period

*Whatever the hell else anyone wants to discuss about the league.

LETS GET THIS ROLLING!

I just checked www.fantasyauctioneer.com (http://www.fantasyauctioneer.com) and the auction is FREE until March 1.

Says you have the ability to set keepers as well.

If we want the FREE auction, we should set a date for it, then set a keeper deadline with enough time for Kevin to plug them into the auction site.

EDIT: The keeper selection process is long and will take some effort, so we should really get cracking here - unless we want to pay $30 for the auction - then no big deal as far as time goes really.

I am all about the free period. I would be willing to bet that things are going to go much more smoothly this time around.

I would say Post Keepers by Febuary 15th...just my opinion.

I think a lot of time should be spent discussing FA's and Waivers:
My proposal is that a player is on waivers for 5 days at which point any player is able to pick the player up at the auction price, be it greater or lower than $10 after an initial 2 day period when no one can claim that player. Each person that wishes to put in a claim will then post it here and the team with the worst record at the end of the 5 days will get that player; if no claims are put in that player automatically becomes a FA and has a salary of $10. If that FA is kept the next year, a one year contract is automatically $15, not $10.

I don't like keeper deadlines. They should be the day before the draft. If a player gets hurt or you find a reason to change your mind, you should be able to do so the day of, or the day before the draft.

The only issue is the Fantasy Auctioneer we used last year is not very user-friendly when delegating the keepers. I could see it potentially taking a long time to get them all entered.

Besides, shouldn't other mgrs get a sense of who's available before the draft? One day isn't enough planning for me at least.

I'm cool with that as well, especially considering the WBC and the possibility of injuries in that tournament could really screw someone with a star player they kept @ $38. I don't mind chipping in a what? extra $2.50, bah I laugh at $2.50!

Any day after 6pm and startign before 9:30 (bedtime is midnight...but willing to stay late to finish up) is good for me, obviously Friday/Saturday are the best as I can stay up as late as necessary.

I should be good for the auction anytime after 8 pm any days other than 10-19 of March. I am going to be in Brazil for a week and a half. Even though my draft turned out pretty well while I was abroad last year, I think I would still prefer to be around this time. ;)

I don't know if I could handle having Clive and ruthian both in the league. :D
