So a couple months ago the University Residence Halls and Apartments at UB sent an email that was a link to a survey about living on campus to all those people that live on campus. I filled it out and then totally forgot about it. So today I went to check my mail and there was a note saying I had a package. So I took it to the office to pick the package up and they give me an envelope. It turns out they were giving away one laptop computer and I won it.

The office to call about picking it up close 10 minutes after I got to my room so I will have to wait until tomorrow but I am still really psyched!

From looking at the specs online its not the best computer but all of the hardware is the same or better than what I currently have.

I tried using one of those in Ohio ... but it was a lost cause. I need a mouse to work around a computer I've found. :(

I know the joys of winning as well... why just a few years ago I won the Nigerian lottery and all I had to do to collect my winnings was to give them the routing number to my checking account. :thatsodd: On second thought... maybe I have never really won anything? All kidding aside... congratulations.

Hey that's not too bad, as a giveaway/prize, it could have been a real piece of crap - Congrats!

I never win anything either but a few months ago at a Rutgers football game I entered a raffle for 2 free JetBlue tix to anywhere they fly, forgot about it, and then got an email later on just like you did...hehe that's the best when you completely forget about it and see an email one day.

Speaking of winning stuff...has anyone heard of that site called blingo.com and if you have has anyone actually won anything off there? My friend told me to use it, it's just like google (powered by google actually), but supposedly they award prizes at random times to people who are searching. I guess I'll keep using it, we'll see what happens, maybe I get lucky.

Viet Nam war . It the last year of the draft and my year wasn't going to go unless the Paris Peace talks broke down.

Haha it is pretty sweet. I got a router so I can go wireless and post on NYYFan from my bed before I go to sleep.
