I am looking forward to once again having the privilege of seeing Jack Bauer save the world again starting Sunday??? Hard to believe it's been 8 months since we left Jack. Sunday and Monday 4 hours of 24!!!!! Wow, I love how Fox waits till January and just runs it straight through till May. Big talk is that someone big dies in the 1st episode and that's why Jack is brought out of hiding, my guess is Palmer, since he'll be in another show this mid season. It should be a fun season and I can't wait until Sunday and then reading what others think about Mr. Jack Bauer.
I never watch this show live....way too many commercials. A 1-hour episode only has about 40 minutes of real show.

I can't wait for this either. The commercials have hinted at something happening to the First Lady, so that could be the "shocking" event in the first ten minutes that they are talking about. I hope nothing happens to Palmer, his character is too cool.

I can't wait, looks like the first couple of episodes are gonna be thrillers.
I got to this thread by clicking the "New Posts" link at the top of the page, and for a moment I thought Tino was coming back!

I'm very fired up for the new season. I too am thinking that Palmer dies in the first episode...not only does he have a new show coming out this year, but there's really nowhere else to take the character. His appearance in Season 4 was a stretch as it is.
Jack is Back! :)

The goodness of the show makes up for the commercials... I just flip to another show, with 24 in the PiP.
Paraphrased from commercial:
"You're going to tell me everything you know, it's just a matter of how much it's going to hurt" - Classic Jack Bauer.
Can't wait, my ass will be parked in front of the TV this Sunday and Monday. No work on Monday!

No work on Monday! What we'll do is record every episode, and if we have the time to watch it live we'll start 20 minutes past the hour and catch up by the end. For this week, we'll start at 8:30 and be caught up to everyone else by about 9:50. Having DVR and TiVO for so many years gets you in the habit of not watching any commercials.

Does Tivo automatically take the commercials out, or do you just FF past them?

Same here. Sometimes people talk about commercials and I have no idea what they are talking about! The 20 minute rule is key!!

I am. On New Years' Eve, I watched a marathon on A&E and I really got into the show.
That and Kiefer Sutherland is a major hottie in this show.

I cant freakin wait!!!!!
Maybe Kim is brought back and killed quickly in the first ten minutes causing Jack to come out of hiding. He mentions her in the prequel, it would be a good way for those after Jack to get him to come to them.

I love the DVDs but I can't not watch the new season. I don't have that kind of will-power.

I have a strong feeling that BOTH Kim and Palmer get murdered within the first ten minutes.

i refuse to watch anything about the show. i dont want to know anything about it before i see it. i'm that way with most movies as well. i keep myself in the dark so i can just enjoy the experience.
I'm in -- and I love that they're running a new episode every week until May, no reruns, no waiting. The show rocks. '24' and 'The Sopranos' returning in March will help me pass the TV time until Opening Day!

not to drive this thread offtopic, but is the sopranos return definitely happening in march?
