Is there a web site that I can goto for a box score from a Yankkes Red Sox game back in 1999?
www.retrosheet.org
A great website.
More specifically, the 99 Yankees.

www.retrosheet.org
A great website.
Yes it is. They have boxscores and play by play all the way back to 1959. (And also of 1911.)

This site is great, but make sure you have your Pop-Up Blocker turned ON. It's lousy with super-annoying Pop-Up ads. But the resource is incredible.

Retrosheet is an ongoing project, too, so over time more seasons will be added. People who are interested in helping out can join the Society for American Baseball Research, which I recommend. http://www.sabr.org
This year's SABR national convention is in Seattle and Jim Bouton will be the keynote speaker. If you come to the SABR convention, you can meet David Smith and the other Retrosheeters who make it happen.

Awesome, thank you for sharing. Found my first Yankee game, May 18, 1975, at Shea Stadium (always feels weird saying that). A 9-1 victory over the A's, thanks to a pitching gem by Catfish Hunter and a dinger by Thurman Munson, God rest their souls.

Cecilia - are you currently a SABR member?
Cecilia - are you currently a SABR member?
I am. I've been for about 5 years now. I wish I had joined sooner but I had this impression (wrong) that you had to have some special qualification to join. But no, you can just sign up and get involved no matter whether your interest is historical or statistical, casual or fanatical, professional or fun.
By the way, to clarify what Retrosheet has to do with SABR:
"Retrosheet and SABR: Although Retrosheet is an independent organization, it has close ties with SABR (the Society for American Baseball Research) and many Retrosheet volunteers are also SABR members. Both groups are non-profit organizations with strong interests in baseball history." Retrosheet is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as well.
