There aren't any I can think of who are on the market right now. I was just trying to explain to Steve why we can't have Piazza on the team.
As many jokes as I've made about Pizzaboy, now way can I root for him now. All the Mut$ fans who loved his multi-HR games can still take his entire persona.

BTW, I wonder if he's managed to forget Roger Clemens yet. His "we'll never forget" seemed like he was talking about the Holocaust or something.

If I can root for Damon, I could then also root for Piazza. But, he doesn't fill a need on this team so it doesn't really matter.

I thought this was dead but Adam Shien on WFAN just said Kevin Keernan has Info that it looks like Mike will sign for 2 mill in SD but the Yanks might just jump in at any minute? Anyone else hear this story this morning ?? If so can you add to this?

Check out the Post this morning. WFAN is probably repeating what it wrote.

In a nutshell. Pod's are close to signing Mike but fear the Yanks MIGHT swoop in at the last minute. It's speculation at best.
"Well, you never know with those Yankees, they could come in the last minute and sign this big star....."
