Hey guys. Just thought about this: what do you guys think of re-acquiring Miggy to be our super-sub. I miss the guy and he's proven he's a New York type of guy. I hope Cash is keeping his eye on him.

I'd like to have him on the bench. He's very valuable, because he plays all the infield positions, and a pretty decent outfield as well. Plus, he can do all the little things right.

Depends.
Did he fire his last agent?

He has a lot of injuries in 2005 season. Maybe if he signs cheap and no draft picks.
If he is cheap and costs us no draft picks I would be for it.

Agreed, he'd be valuable on the bench but not worth a draft pick, we need to re-tool the farms more than we need an overpriced utility infielder
We need to get some bats for the bench, I'd only bring Miggy back if we can trade womack.
Miggy can play the corners and give us a pesky table-setter at 1b if Phillips bombs.

I would bring in cairo even with womack. They both can play the outfield and the infield so no problem but of course the preference is to trade womack.

Womack should be cut. He is completely useless. Cairo is so much more valuable than Womack.

Absolutely. Great clubhouse guy, versitile, and clutch. He should've been on the team last year. Stupid agent...

As long as he doesn't want too much, heck yes. I would love to have him as a bench guy when one of our guys needs a breather. Heck it'd be cool to have a low-cost pinch runner too.

The yanks are pretty much stuck with Womack, and they're not going to carry both of them.

As a matter of fact, yes - he fired the agent who failed to present the Yankees offer to him last off-season.

Not completely worthless. He's the best pinch runner we've had in years. but you're right, he isnt really worth a roster spot.
Might as well sign Cairo ... we're all so deep in De Nile anyway!

I would sign him for the utility role.

I wouldn't want him back in as significant a role as he played in 2004. Since we now have Cano, this wouldn't be the case.
For the role he would play on the team, he would be a nice pickup. I doubt it, though, unless Womack is released.

Yeah with Womack around, there is nothing we can do. Unless we are able to move him (not very likely at all), we don't have a spot for Cairo. Although I would love to see him back in pinstripes.
