"At this point, we are heading in a different direction," club executive vice president Mike Flanagan said.
The article also says that Sosa may have to sign a minor league deal if he wants to play in the majors in 2006. Anyone think the Yanks will bring him aboard??? We signed Nomo.

it doesn't makes sense for the yankees to do that, and i think cashman know s that.
nomo is a pitcher, and a team can never have too much pitching.

Never, ever gonna happen.
This thread title is also misleading.
Only if the Yankees are trying to find a player that would make Ruben Sierra look good.

not this again. The thread is about Sammy Sosa, not Ruben Sierra or Aaron Small.

I guess it was inevitable, so why not him/her.

Sierra Mist, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Hmm pretty funny, the thing is his stats show me that he sucks at hitting. Watching him play in the outfield shows that he sucks at defense.
BTW NO WAY IN HELL TO SAMMY SOSA!

Sammy Sosa is done. Him and Raffy can go inject each other with B12 shots in the men's room at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown after they get done looking at exhibits/plaques dedicated to real baseball players that didn't have to cheat to get their numbers.

I'd rather have Reggie Jackson or Pauly O come out of retirement than to have Sosa out there. Hell, maybe we could get Jay Buhner or even Bip Roberts. I like Bip.

I wouldn't mind having Sosa on the team if he was the batboy and made about $5 a game. Of course we would then have the worst batboy in MLB, but I could live with it. :)
