Please tell me someone else watches this show other than me. Its pretty good so far, actually looking like its shaping up to resemble Superman. Clark finally become enemies with Lex... and nails Lana.

I don't watch it but my best friend LOVES Superman and the show. Says it is a different aspect of Superman's life than what is usually seen and finds it very interesting. :)

Unlike most science fiction shows, this one seems to be improving with age. Probably because it's migrating away from Buffy-type stories toward more Superman-type stories.
Kristin Kreuk is lovely.
The hottest chick on that show was the girl who played Lois Lane's sister.
Hey,
I grew up on the origional Superman (and Batman) comics when they were ten cents for each monthly issue.
I've seen every Superman and Batman movie (I won't give you my reviews, except to say that I enjoyed them all if for nothing else, but the escapism.
Anyway I watch Smallville whenever I can and truly enjoy it.

It was good. Clark fights three bad guys without his powers.
Superman is cool and all but he's got NOTHING on Batman. Even with his powers, Superman got his ass kicked by Batman.

That show was favoring Batman cuz he's so much cooler. For a superhuman person, Superman sure gets his ass handed to him by the badguys. The villians from Batman actually fear Batman. No ones scared of Superman.

Probably. Smallville does change some stuff, but nothing too major I don't think.

Smallville never explained how quickly some characters age.... You could still have had Aquaman being 112 but looking like a 25-year-old....

I haven't watched in a long time b/c they got rid of the WB where I live, but I used to enjoy the show. Are they still in high school or have they graduated now? If so, how are they dealing with them all in different schools, or did they cheap out and have them all go to the same one like in Boy Meets World?

They are all in their 9th year of High School. Clark is a Junior.

They're freshman in college. Lana and Chloe are at Metropolis U and Clark is at Central Kansas A&M. Pete moved.

This week's episode was hilarious! Anyone else see it?
Tom Wopat (from Dukes of Hazzard) guest-starred, and was driving a blue "General Lee." In one scene he even went in the window!
The Smallville part of the story was pretty weak, but the Dukes references were great!
What I found funny was that Clark didn't even know where to put the dollar bill. What a dork.

WHOOOOOOT! I can't believe I didn't check here before. I'm a HUGE Smallville fan - watch every episode religiously. I started this past summer when I bought the Lois & Clark DVD set (season 1, since the second season doesn't come out till January) and hidden inside was an episode of Smallville Season 4. The episode (Crusade) was so good that I decided to buy Season 1 on DVD. Despite the kinda-lame Freak of The Weak plotlines, the mythology captured me and I quickly purchased the next two seasons.
I voraciously attacked them, watching almost every night at the end of the summer. By the time school started in the fall I was foaming at the mouth to buy season 4 on DVD. Although it was by far the worst season, the split between Lex and Clark made it clear that season 5 would be terrific.
Although there have been two TRULY AWFUL episodes in season 5 (Thirst and Exposed), the rest have been very, very good. This past new episode, Solitude, is one of my favorites overall - Braniac turned out to be the menace we knew he'd be, and he came _this close_ to bringing Zod in to face an immature Superman. Very cool.
The next edition, "Lexmas," is already bugging me, because I can't help but think that a "holiday-themed" Smallville is going to be awful. Here's to hoping I'm wrong!

Speaking about being killed off, another character is supposed to die next week, a MAIN character close to Clark. I think its either gonna be Jonathon Kent or Lana. If Mr. Kent is killed, that takes care of the whole Senate election BS. But it could also be Lana, because she is getting close to discovering Clarke's secret. But if Kristin Kreuk leaves the show, pretty much all of the male viewers will too. She's HOT!

I am not thrilled with the overall decision. While losing Kristin Kreuk would have been a shame due to her hotness, I don't think taking Mr. Kent was the best way to go about it. Martha has always been a bland character so I was hoping she would be the one to go, but when I first saw Lana go I was okay with it because well you can find another gorgeous woman to fill in for her. Perhaps John wanted out of his contract to do some other television programs, but if not I am not pleased with the death of Jonathan Kent.

I should correct this. Lana died originally, but Clark made a deal with Joe-El to go back and do it all over again. This time Clark saves Lana, but his Dad dies of a heart attack, or something, at the end.

Well, considering Jonathan Kent died in the Superman movie also, it probably made the most sense.
I've read that Bo might be back for directing or something.
