I dont understand how any person can make the assumption that Buck and McCarver are Yankee homers. Especially Buck. You can hear the disgust in his voice when he talks about the Yankees. He baisically has an orgasm in the booth everytime a team, the Red Sox especially, do something to the Yankees in a game, be it hitting a homer, scoring a run, making a DP, etc. McCarver, he's just an idiot.

If he was truly going to retire he would have retired. Sane, rational people don't just "change their minds" at the drop of the hat when dealing with major life situations.
I dont think it was that 'at the drop of a hat'. He went to a team that is near where he lives. He got a sweet deal by not having to go on road trips in which he didnt pitch and getting to stay home with his family. As I said before, I truly believe that he was going to retire. But once the Astros came up with that great offer, he couldnt say no. I dont blame him for it.

This is one of the strangest All-Star Games I've seen in a while. The crowd in Detroit has been as quiet as a 9th-inning crowd at a March 10th exhibition game.
Plus, FOX's graphics are now probably the most intrusive graphics I've ever seen on any game telecast for any sport. What IS the deal with those batter statistics banner things??? My lord...

If I was Rogers on the mound, I would come out of this inning smiling. He initially gave up a homerun--a tremendous shot--, and afterward got the DP and easy out to end the inning. His real life situation is not that different. He took a big hurt with the cameraman incident, but Rogers is supposedly a good guy, and he should get out of the debacle.
