I just joined this forum Yesterday, and I must say that so far I am extremely impressed by everything that goes on. There are intelligent people who make respectful, insightful comments. I was warmly welcomed, which doesn't happen everywhere.
Above all that, you have a website that is choc-full of information, it loads quickly and is easy to navigate. This site is an answer to my prayers. So, I want to say thank you for this site.
How long has it been running? I don't ever remember coming across it in prior years, so I assume it is relatively new.
Mucho Gratzi!

No, thank you! And I'm glad that you are enjoying it here. We've been in a state of major growth for the past few weeks. I started this site in mid-January, because I, like you, wanted a place that facilitated intelligent discussion, and provided all the Yankees info that you could possibly need. I couldn't find one, so I decided to make one, and what you see today is the result of many hours of tooth grinding, desk hitting, hair pulling hours; and many, many late nights of hard work and planning. And you know what? I enjoy EVERY gosh-darned second of it. :)
So, to that end, it makes me really happy that you like what I have done. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing people get from my site what I hoped they would.
I look forward to reading your posts, and I welcome you to the forum.
:)

..for the welcome! :-)
Auntie Em,
Good to have you on board. I have found this site to be predominately visited by Yankee fans and not by Yankee fan pretenders. You will like it here. I guarentee it. And nowhere else will you see Jim, Ansky 39, Orangemom or NY Irish and that alone is worth the price of admission. And I forgot Better Than Hoover Lite, who is a blast and a half.

Hi Auntie Emm -
I, like you, was bouncing around looking for a decent "Yanxfan" site since the old yankees.com changed (for the worse, I might add). My good friend and co-worker, NYIrish, urged me to try this one and I've been an active member ever since. The people here are bright and friendly and the conversation (usually) stimulating. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
