So you want to see the Yankees, ay? Are you frustrated by the lack of quality seats available from the Yankees Box Office or Ticketmaster, don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy from a broker, and don't trust buying from someone over the internet?

If you answered yes to any of these questions (or even if you didn't!), I've got your solution!

NYYFans.com has partnered with the Ticket Network to provide great seats for all budgets for every Yankee game (home or away). There is even pre-paid parking and Stadium Club passes available for select Yankee home games!

To look for tickets for a specific game, click on the Schedule link on the NYYFans.com homepage (http://www.nyyfans.com/), navigate to the game you're interested in, click on the "Get Tickets" link, and select your tickets. It's that easy! The only drawback is that there are so many tickets available, the page will take a few seconds to load. But that's not such a bad thing...

For an easy link to remember, just bookmark or visit http://tickets.nyyfans.com/ to buy Yankee tickets, or tickets to lots of other events (not just sports!).

The best part about this is that you're supporting this site by buying your tickets through us, since we earn a percentage as commission.

Yes, The Ticket Network is technically a ticket broker. But due to their massive volume of ticket sales, the tickets are actually very reasonable. And to top if all off... To introduce this new service, I've made sure that NYYFans.com is the lowest priced Ticket Network partner, so you can be sure you're getting the best deal on genuine, quality, affordable Yankee tickets.

So if you want to check out the Yankees in person and help support this site, buy your tickets from us. All the cool kids are doing it. :)

You can tell by the seat location map....and the price :D

Interesting article in the USA Today this morning on why it's so hard for regular people to get seats.

I don't see how this is really any different than Stubhub, can someone enlighten me? It seems to be the same thing, an interface between buyer and seller. Except they've just put the NYYFans banner up top. Am I incorrect in not thinking it's any better?

Edit: I'm not talking about prices/etc. I'm talking about getting ripped off.

This site gets some of the cut.

The fact that this site gets some of the cut is a great thing and a HUGE incentive to getting tickets through the site but that isn't what I meant.

I was directly referring to what you put in your edit. The ticket prices on Stubhub are out of control. Shame on me for being stupid enough to buy tickets on there but I didn't really know about other sites similar to it and I heard about Stubhub through radio commercials so like a good little consumer I used it. Compare the prices on this site to the prices on Stubhub for the same seats.

When you say "getting ripped off", are you talking about getting fake tickets or something like that?

The brokers that participate in the Ticket Network exchange are monitored very closely for performance, credibility, etc. Fakes are not a problem. Also the President of Ticket Network is past President of National Association of Ticket Brokers – the nationwide standards organization.

This is a very trustworthy organization.

I inquired with my Ticket Network rep about some of the other finer points of difference between them and StubHub. This was his response:

The biggest difference between Ticket Network and StubHub - we have lots more tickets. We are the largest secondary market ticket exchange in the world. We have 30-40% more tickets than StubHub. StubHub is more well known because they sell most of their tickets directly from their website and do lots and lots of advertising. We sell our tickets through many channels and have no desire to become well known ourselves. We want our partners to be well known and get the ticket business.

StubHub gets tickets from individuals listing and from ticket brokers listing. The fulfillment from individuals is less reliable. When someone buys a ticket from our Exchange, the customer has double guarantee because he gets the contact information on the broker who has the ticket and the Ticket Network customer service department contact information if he has any problems.

I guess what I'm asking is can I sell my tickets there? I didn't see a 'sell' link. But tickets a few rows behind mine for next Sunday's Mets game are priced at $286!!! Mine aren't for sale, but in the future when there's a game I know I can't make it would be swell to recoup half the price of my ticket package.

I'm not trying to criticize the price; it is the Mets on Sunday night national tv after all. The other games I checked out were more reasonable. I'm just wondering because like I said, if I can't make a game but I can make some of my scratch back, that'd be cool.

That's interesting. I always thought it was a legal issue (i.e. NYYFans could get into trouble) if people sold their tickets for above face value through it. But I can see why you wouldn't want the board swamped with posts from scalpers, because you know it would happen...

RE: Stubhub and getting ripped off--if you don't like the prices, don't buy. For my part when I list my tickets there, I list them for as close to face as possible (I usually add $2 or $3 to cover the fees), or as close to the lowest price possible if it is a game that lots of people are trying to dump tickets for. Like last Saturday's Cubs game, there were a ton of upper deck tickets listed at $20--you'd pay more than that at TicketMaster bc of their "convenience charge" -- so I listed mine at that price. But I only list tickets to games I can't go to. Other folks I know will list their tickets at steep prices, figuring it's only worth giving up being at the Stadium if they are going to make a pile of money. Since Stubhub has so many tickets that are sold directly from individual to individual, it varies widely.

And it sure beats eBay.

But anyway, Jim, this deal looks great! I'll definitely check them out when I need extras.

I know this is going to be a dumb couple of questions, but I wanted to go to the sat night game vs KC, and according to ticketmaster all that is left officially is the bleachers, and I was hoping to do better than that (and help the web site at the same time)...so, this is my first experience with buying tickets online like this, so forgive my newbie questions. This is a big deal for me, so I don't want it to go bad..i'm driving 6 hours each way, spending 2 hours, taking my son for the first MLB game, spending a lot of money (for us), etc.

Anyway, if I order 2 tickets here, I assume they are always next to each other? I can't leave my son alone during the game. And it says it ships 2 day fedex, will it get here by thursday if I order today (I would think it would ship on monday....). And I assume there is no chance these are fakes?

thanks for your advice!

thanks for your advice! Some "rows" at YS span 2 rows. This typically happens in any of the box seats; loge box, tier box, lower box, etc. If you're in Main Reserve or Tier Reserve, I don't think this will be an issue, and any seats you get should be next to each other.

If the order ships on Monday via FedEx two-day, it should get there on Wednesday.

I'm not going to tell you that there is "no chance" that the tickets are fake, since I would be making myself liable if they happened to be. The chances that they are fake are very slim if not none. You're buying the tickets through a broker who makes their living selling tickets. Your chances of getting fakes in-person at the game are a lot greater since there would be no recourse... you'd be paying an anonymous person in cash... there's nothing that would make them be responsible.

I've sold quite a few tickets already, and nobody has had anything the slightest bit negative to say; just a whole bunch of happy customers :). So thanks for your support, and I hope you enjoy the game :).

I understand your comments about not being able to guarantee "no fakes", I just wanted someone with experience to re-assure me that the chances were very very low, given all the bogus stuff that does happen over the net.And thanks for the observaton about box seats, so I'll stick to something like Tier Reserved...

We had the wheelchair accesible seating last fall when my son had his foot surgery. He wasn't in a wheelchair but he was on crutches and unable to do alot of stairs. Here's what I observed....

#1 There were people in the "wheelchair" sections on either side of us who didn't appear to need to be there. I'm not sure what the limitations are there. The ushers did check tickets so they had the right tickets...

#2 These are folding chairs, on a platform with a railing. They are set up free standing. We had to keep our chairs to one end of the platform as there was another group at the other end.

#3 The view of the field is very good (from where we were anyway). We could NOT see the Diamond Vision screen at all from where we were (near RF Foul Pole then all the way at the back of the section), and anything that was in the air was out of our range of vision.
You are all the way back under the overhang for the next level so there is some limitations to what you can see.

But overall, they were good seats, and considering that my son had all he could to to crutch from the car to his seat and back, they worked for us. At least we had shelter if it rained!;)

Question/comment regarding the delivery options. In many cases, the ticket prices themselves are very reasonable, but it troubles me that the least expensive means of delivery is $15 2-day delivery. If I'm buying tickets to a game a month from now, there really isn't a need for 2-day delivery. And what about e-tickets? Why would we pay high shipping fees for something that is e-mailed to us? Are there any alternatives?

I tried buying tickets from this site. The first time, I got to the end of the process, only to get a message that the tickets, though in the list, were not available. They remained in the list several hours later.

So, I found another set of tix and purchased them. All seemed well until I got an email, two days later, saying, "Unfortunately, your order #xxxxxxx could not be fulfilled as originally intended." This was after I got a verification email.

To be fair, my credit card was not charged. However, after making plans with my family to travel to that game, I am now without tickets.

TERRIBLE customer service. Absolutely unacceptable.

Not yet. The email does include a phone number, and invites me to try again at

Had that same issue once as I was trying to buy seats the night before a game, which could have been emailed, but they still wanted to charge for shipping. Hopefully you get an answer as I'm curious too.

Perhaps it should be interpreted as "shipping and handling". I used to work for an eBay seller, they do this all the time, and it's specifically to work around eBay's listing fees (a 1 cent auction, $8+ s&h charge, 41 cent postage).
I'd imagine on this particular website, they'd do it not only because they may not get charged fees on that money, but also to artificially inflate the price of the ticket beyond any restrictions the host website may have with regards to the face value of the ticket. I don't know if they actually have any restrictions, but I'm just putting that out there.

I am trying to buy two tickets for the Aug 5th game, and it clearly said on the first page that the "TICKETS COULD BE EMAILED". IF so, why doI have to pay $15 shipping? It just doesn't make any sense.

That's similar to the question I posed earlier. If I were buying tickets way in advance, why pay all that money for 2-day delivery? There's no rush. It makes no sense to me.

Has anyone used this service before? Frankly, I'm a little confused, some of the seats are waaaaay above face value and others are below face value :dunno:

My head is spinning between comparing their listing prices with Yankees.com.

Anything good/bad to say about Stubhub.com?

And when do single game tickets go on sale for the general public? That seems like it might be my most "reasonable" bet.

Thanks :D

I have over 100 tickets for sale. I'd like to offer them here, but I don't know how.

used it to buy 4 tix for the last regular season game. tix were mailed via Fedex 2-day, an email was sent to me with tracking number, tix arrived and everything went smoothly. Yes, it was exorbitantly high, but this is expected for premium games. As long as you know what you're in for, this service is exactly what it says it is.

A cool improvement might be a gallery of pictures taken by members when they go of their view from the seats.

I'm trying to buy tickets for the KC game in august and totally lost :(

I feel better now than I did earlier. I tried to call the actual ticket seller both Friday and today and it just rang with no answer. But I just got the invoice along with the FedEx tracking number, so at least I was able to confirm something was shipped. Will report back tomorrow when FedEx shows up! Stoked to see this game!!! :D

Tickets arrived, all 8 consecutive in the section promised!! The markup was insane, but considering the tix are for a game against the Sox on a holiday weekend, last year in YS and the quantity I needed together I can't complain. And it was cheaper than some seats I saw on StubHub that weren't as good.

At the moment I have two complaints:

There are "internet service fees" of what appear to be approximately 15%. Again, even with that the prices were still comparable to favorable to StubHub, but it should be disclosed.

For something that has as much of an air of uncertainty to it as online ticket ordering, having the phone number ring with NO answer during business hours is unacceptable. It had me very concerned.

I have a ton of complaints about the game (7-0 shutout by the Sox), but aside from what was posted above my only other gripe was that the site didn't disclose that the tickets were in non-alcoholic seating. Sneaking beers up in souvenier cups was expensive! ;)

I think all in all just more disclosure about fees/seating details and the ability to confirm ticket availability a day or two after the transaction would have made this a very satisfying purchase.

Jim,

I am already thinking of next year. I know tickets for opening day will be scarce and pricey but as a Yankee fanatic for 60+ years, how can I not see the opening day in the new YS.

Any ideas where to get tickets (even bleachers) without me spending my entire IRA for it? Andy

I thought the site got a percentage when tickets are sold through here. Should make people sell for face through it so they are supporting the site at the same time instead of that resale forum...

This is a very disappointing service. I had an order confirmation for two tickets to the Yankees - Baltimore game on 9/11/09 only to be told when arranging the delivery the next morning that the tickets are no longer available.

I assume they sold it for a much higher price to someone as soon as it became apparent late Wednesday night (9/9/09) that Friday's game might be where Jeter breaks Gehrig's hits record.

Worst part is now tickets are no longer available (at my price point). If only this order was correctly rejected by the system (if the ticket was really not there) I could have gotten other tickets. This would have been a birthday special for my son. He'll be crushed over this.

After reading these horror stories, if anyone then goes and buys tickets from this place they're an idiot.

I read your message and felt awful, I don't have any tickets, but if you can get to the park at 9 am (I believe that's when the box office opens), you'll have a great shot to get a pair. I've done that multiple times and never gotten turned away. Anyways, best of luck, and i'm sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Didn't want to start a new thread (or at least, i don't think i can), I'm heading over from Ireland on friday and i'm looking to go on either saturday or sunday, there seems to be plenty of tickets left on that site however they only seem to deliver the tickets. Given the short space of time I would need to be able to collect the tickets somewhere, does anyone know if such a service is available anywhere?

A rapid response would be appreciated,

Thanks.

From what I can see you'd have to have them delivered to the country you're credit card is from. Which is no good in this instance. I would really need to be able to collect the tickets somewhere, or know of a vendor that would sell them before the event.

Just save yourself the trouble and buy them on stubhub. You print them at home and don't have to worry about any headaches (despite paying their crappy fees)

Oh, and while I'm here what's the difference between the saturday and the sunday game? Is one going to be better than the other? and why is there three of them?

Tickets for Toronto are pretty expensive. Cool service though.
