Plagued with injuries, it seems there is a very slim chance of the Empire making any run this year. If this trend continues over the next few weeks I will be trading for keeper value.

Ortiz, Wright, Green, Dunn, Penny, Schmidt, and Ordonez and Thomas when they get off the DL, may have some value to some teams.

I'm not going to be giving any of these players away, serious keeper value will only be considered. Just a heads up. So if you're looking to fill any holes, start reseaching now. I'm giving it about 1 more month.

 serenity now....

Ditto for the Style:

Eric Gagne can be had. At $29, there is an outside shot that he could be kept next year.

He's a reliever that can rack up more K's than many starters.

A thought: Gagne for Wright. What exactly are the rules for keeping players? $4 X number of years + current salary?

Yes. So a $29 player for 3 years would be $41 a year.

Well, you can keep him for next year at the same salary (picking up his option), but then you have to drop him after that.

Otherwise you throw him back after this year, or sign him to a long term deal (2-4 years)

okay.

The Gagne offer sounds good, but I need to see him back in action to do it. Like I said it's gonna be a little while. Unless of course I get an offer I can't refuse.

I also want to see how Wright pans out, because at his salary, he's also a keeper option.

GHR- not bad, but I'm looking for more in return for a guy like Gagne.

Yanksphan.... very nice offer. But no impulse trading for me this time. I have to get serious if I'm gonna rebuild for next year. I will let you know.

Understood. I'm hurting in RBI and HR, so the offer still stands..

Steve,
I understand your frustration, but really do we need to make the New York Knights any better. I have been in 2 for weeks and haven't gained any damn ground. Now my team is falling apart... :dunno:

Now my team is falling apart... :dunno:I saw that $2 price tag and felt it could be a keeper option if things work out. No one was interested in Hoffman and I needed to fill the gap for Schmidt. This was a desperation move because I felt it was the best I'd get. Truly sorry guys, I know Eric is not the guy you wanna see get stronger but I had no other choice. I needed a starter and they're hard to come by.

Not bad, Brew, but I'm probably looking for a starter or a hitter.

There seems to be some serious behind the scenes work being done...

My pitching is in the toilet. Anyone care to flush it down?

Edit: My bad! Thanks for the edit Kev. ;)

Nobody should be trading with you! :P

You in first by almost 20 points! I just checked your team and there is a lot of cheap talent on there. :-po'd-:
