You cannot place someone in injured status unless they are on the DL.

(This means you, Brandon! I dropped Rob M., and put Castillo back to active status.)

let me ask, what if the status isn't updated, but the news states he was put there?

Kerry Wood was officially placed on the DL put it took over a day for his status to change.

I had the same problem in another league. Nick Swisher was DL'd by Oakland, and the news section of Sportsline had him on the DL, but my roster didn't list him as "DL" -- it still had him as "A", for 2 or 3 days. I still put him on the DL, because he WAS on the DL, even if his official status didn't reflect it. (But anyone who clicked on the red and white plus next to his name would see he was on the DL). I think something like that should be OK, esp in a league with no bench.

Sorry about that. Thought that's what the little red + means. I guess it's just showing injury. I put him back active.

Mark Loretta will have surgery on Tuesday in Phoenix to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb. He is expected to miss at least two months.
(Updated 05/23/2005).

When will he hit the DL? After the surgery?

Although I suppose zeros are better than the typical 0-fers my team has been putting up lately.
