Man is the seasons first month almost over?
Lots of interesting things shook down last week. As those pesky NY Knights are holding on tight to the top spot.

Screw the Knights and their obnoxious fans. Who cares about "class" anyways ;)

Sycamore Style looking like the '62 Mets...
Six effing guys on the DL right now. SIX.
I've made a nice little jump after a rough first week. Thanks for keeping my place at the top warm. :D

from Rotoworld:
According to manager Terry Francona, David Wells could miss more than a month after being placed on the DL today with a sprained right foot.
I played with fire...I got burnt...

I feel your pain...in my H2H league yesterday:
Colon 3.2IP 12.27ERA L
Clement 4.2IP 13.5ERA ND
Otsuka 1IP 9.00ERA L
Foulke 1IP 36.00ERA L
and my hitters were 9/42 (.214) with 0HR 0R 1RBI....
needless to say, I'm losing so far this week.

They're cocky, not obnoxious. Though I guess if I was in 8th place, I'd confuse the two also. ;)

Somebody's hitting the ground running and ready for the second month of the season.
Things look a lot clearer from the top. How long until the crew from JackedUp can dethrone the early season leader?

If you ever get Barry back you could jump 5 spots in a week. I had him the last two years in various leagues. His impact is unmeasurable.

I noticed that. I think Steve is in the same category as you. He has like a 40 man roster with half of them on the injured list.

All I know is I'm getting plenty pissed off at the A's, as it seems they can't win an effing game that Blanton/Haren start. They keep giving me great games, and great peripherals, but no effing wins, Argghhh.

I have blanton on another team.. very frustrating.
Question guys.. I have vernon wells on one of my other teams.. do I dump him? he's at .198 and he looks horrible at the plate. Without Delgado, I think he's a very average hitter. would you drop him for:
Ibanez
Mench
Everett
or would you just leave him alone?
btw, this league counts BBs and K's

Nobody you can trade Wells for? I'd say Ibanez is the safe (.280/20/85) guy on that list.
Same situation I'm in with Giambi in this league. I'd hate to drop him, but man, that .220 is just killing me.

News: Guillermo Mota felt discomfort in his elbow when warming up in the bullpen Friday and left for Miami for further examination.

I can't believe the start Wells is having, I don't know if it's Delgado leaving though, the rest of the Jays are doing just fine, Hillenbrand and Rios are just doing amazing so far (considering the expectations). I assume there is no bench in that league as well? Wells should be coming around (hopefully soon), I would stick him on the bench for now.

Sorry to hear about Mota... I also have Giambi on the team wells is on.. as well as Carlos Lee and Victor Martinez.. all struggling, at below or right at .200. And i'm STILL in first place... thank god Walks are counted... that's why Giambi is still valuable. But I figure, if JD drew could turn it around, these guys can too...

yeah.. there's no bench. It's really a toss up between mench and ibanez... but I don't want to give up on wells.. such a tough decision to make.

An MRI and CT scan have detected that closer Guillermo Mota has elbow inflammation that will keep him out for an estimated three weeks. Mota will be placed on the disabled list on Sunday.
