I LOVE THE O.C. ON FOX!!!

This episode just opened up with the undeniably smoking hot Olivia Wilde, the girl with the most incredible eyes around, having her ex in town and telling the guy that she's hooking up with to stay away and let her sort things out...and then the ex comes in and its a SHE!!!

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

My favorite part about the show is that the writing is hilarious and it doesn't take itself to seriously.

I actually laugh under my breath quite a bit, and that is extemely difficult to get me to do.

Hey, I personally find Ryan (Ben McKenzie) very very very goodlooking. And Seth isn't too bad either (looks better this season than last season), plus Zach is pretty cute himself (albeit a bit bland). Of course, we seem to have very different taste in guys :).

And thank god you ranked Marissa last, Snatch. Because she is :barf: :barf:. Personally, I find Summer and Kirsten the most gorgeous women on the show. I want to look like Kelly Rowan (or Melinda Clarke/Julie) when I get to that age!

BTW, I also love the writing. It's absolutely hysterical and Josh Schwartz is a genius. But I generally adore shows that are able to poke fun at themselves like that.

I just watched the show, I've been watching it since the first episode. It's light & easy to watch.

I love the character of Sandy Cohen...

I'm sure the guys will go for Alex & Marissa getting it on, but it's gonna make me nauseous.... :barf:

One of my friends (who is a girl) LOVES HIM. Like, beyond belief. She asked me what I thought of last week's episode and I told her I coulda done without Sandy's singing for the last 15 minutes and she says, "Oh my God! That was like my favorite part!"

She ADORES him.
I liked when he sang, though I didn't need quite so much of that. But he has a really great voice....

I think he was in Grease on Broadway, not sure, I'll have to look it up...

I don't know how old you are, but you probably are closer than you think from being that age! In real life, Melinda Clarke is only 35 and Kelly Rowan is 37. Not too many moms of high school kids are that age...or look like them.

At any rate, I'm a big fan of the show. Fills the void that 90210 left when it finally (and mercifully) ended a few years ago. Summer's my favorite.

The whole age thing is kind of funny because, other than Peter Gallagher, the other actors playing the parents are probably 10-12 years older than the kids in real life.

From what I understand, Rebecca was engaged to Sandy and is labeled as the "love of his life". She and some guy (they didn't go too deeply into his character) burnt down some building/lab or something. Her dad asked Sandy to locate her because he doesn't have much time to live. Sandy visited the guy who helped her burn this building down in jail...there was a custodian in the building that they didn't know about and he died. So Rebecca fled the country and this guy is in jail and tells Sandy that she is dead. Sandy get confirmation from his source in Vancouver that she is dead but she's alive in the end.

Sorry for the grammar, etc. Just trying to get it out there quickly.

Sandy used to be engaged to Rebecca before he married Kirsten. Rebecca's father (Max) was a mentor to Sandy at law school. What I get out of it is that she was some sort of activist who burned something down and killed the janitor that was inside. She fled the country to Canada so that she wouldn't have to go to jail. Since fleeing no one has heard from her. Max is dying and wants to talk to Rebecca before he dies so he goes to Sandy to see if he has had any contact with her. Sandy finds the guy that Rebecca burned the warehouse down with, in jail, and asks where he can find her and the guy tells him that he can't because she is dead.

Kirsten is pissed because she thinks Sandy is still in love with Rebecca and can't really understand why he is so hell bent on finding her, even if it is for the Father. After Sandy hears Rebecca is dead he has Max meet him at his new office so that he can break the news to him. Max shows up with Rebecca in tow. Episode over.

Its like the husband who is playing poker over at his buddy's house with all the guys. His wife has been telling him for weeks that he has to be home by 11pm to call to Oregon and wish so and so a happy birthday (just an exmaple). The guy hates the person, and has made it clear that he wants nothing to do with it. All the guy wants to do is play poker. But he tells his wife reluctantly that he'll be home anyway to help her.

Then a surprise winter storm hits, and the roads become undrivable. A State of Emergancy is created. The guy calls his wife and says that he is stuck at his buddy's place.

So he gets his wish to play poker all night with the boys, and doesn't have to make that stupid phonecall.

And his excuse was 100% valid. He just happened to be fortuitous.

Seth, Summer and Zach pitched their comic idea but instead Seth turned it into a podium to express his love for Summer and he was all hyped up on caffeine.

You guys need to explain how that was a great episode. To be perfectly honest I can't think of one scene without Seth in it that was remotely decent. Let's hope for everyone's sake that this was the last time we ever see Lindsay and Zack.

She was H-O-T. Not Alex level hot, but she had the better package. She wasn't too skinny, and had fatty deposits in all the right places.

They need to step it up. The last few episodes have been weak.

Also, they should make it a little more realistic. I know it is a Soap Opera but seriously. The ducts they were basically walking around in were just stupid. I didn't even know rollerSKATES still existed and even if they do there would be no reason to wear full hockey gear to play indoor rollerhockey.

I agree. But I usually do wear full hockey gear when I play roller-hockey in my living room.

And whenever I go to a completely empty diner with a girl who is just my friend we usually sit on the same side of the booth.

Two comments:

1. I didn't care about the Star Wars Episode III trailer, but I'm glad it was at the end so that all of the people who watched the show only for that reason had to wait. Episodes I and II were garbage, so why is Episode III going to be any better? We all know how the story ends. I loved Star Wars as much as anyone when I was a kid (action figures, toys, puzzles, etc., etc.), but these prequels suck big time.

2. This episode was fairly weak, although the Julie Cooper as porn star storyline is excellent. The last episode two weeks ago was very good and tied together a bunch of loose ends, so now it seems like the writers are introducing some new storylines.

I thought it was a really good episode too. I couldn't believe it when she actually shot him. Should be interesting next season. The end of this season really made up for the beginning which wasn't very good.

I don't know if Jimmy is back for good but it wouldn't surprise me. Caleb tied most of the people and families together and with him gone Jimmy can take his place since he has ties to Kirsten, Haley, and obviously the Coopers.

Rogo's is a cool dive bar that, as you put it, is just a great hangout place that stands in contrast to much of the rest of the Hoboken bar scene...until the past couple of months, that is.

After our softball games (Friday nights) we go to Rogo's because our team is being sponsored by them. A couple of months ago we walk in on Friday night, and the bar is PACKED with the typical Hoboken Black Bear/Green Rock/Mile Square crowd; girls in shiny backless shirts, guys in the untucked buttondown stripers- you know what I'm talking about. We were stunned, I mean this WAS FREAKING ROGO'S FOR CRISESAKES!

I got a kick out of it though, because I was in baseball pants (girls love a guy in baseball pants), high socks, and flipflops. I got so much attention from the ladies that night that I have had no problem going in like that every Friday since! :D :lol:

Rogo's is a cool dive bar that, as you put it, is just a great hangout place that stands in contrast to much of the rest of the Hoboken bar scene...until the past couple of months, that is.

After our softball games (Friday nights) we go to Rogo's because our team is being sponsored by them. A couple of months ago we walk in on Friday night, and the bar is PACKED with the typical Hoboken Black Bear/Green Rock/Mile Square crowd; girls in shiny backless shirts, guys in the untucked buttondown stripers- you know what I'm talking about. We were stunned, I mean this WAS FREAKING ROGO'S FOR CRISESAKES!

I got a kick out of it though, because I was in baseball pants (girls love a guy in baseball pants), high socks, and flipflops. I got so much attention from the ladies that night that I have had no problem going in like that every Friday since! :D :lol:

You'll have to PM me the info. for the fall league -- sounds cool. I don't know if the Mrs. (by the fall) will want to join, but I used to be quite a kickball player in my day. Even coached the kids at Jewish summer camp. :D

I've been to Rogo's a couple of times on Friday nights, although not in the past few months. Somehow I always end up at Dippers, although last week I ended up at Black Bear with a bunch of people from work -- first time in a long time I'd been there. Luckily I was out by 11:00. And yeah, I know the typical Hoboken crowd. The best are the Staten Island people who go to Madison's. :D

They definitely took the shooting way too far. If they don't ever bring up - which I think is improbable - the attempted poisoning by Julie I will be very disappointed. Obviously Jeri Ryan will have a place in this season. We'll see what happens.

Don't forget... your Bronx born, hot, rich Jewish man must also be obsessed with bagels. I think Sandy's morning routine is one of the highlights of the show. Some of the best dialogue has taken place when they're all in the kitchen in the AM. :)

Does the OC get replayed at any time during the week? I set up my VCR to tape it and I taped it at the wrong hour. :lol: (I need Tivo BAD!)

Anyway, my fiance is quite upset that she missed it and I'm upset that she's dissapointed so any help would be great!

My Tivo is only picking up the original air date. I'm sure they'll start airing repeats of the first two episodes soon enough.

It was pretty good. :P
