I would i cant stand him..

Hey, the Giants NEED a WR who can change the game. As much as he can be an ass, I'd take him on the Giants.

I wouldn't mind him as a Jet, either, though the Jets have two pretty good WRs.

The Vikings got another first down. The Pack are using their timeouts, now. Things are looking bad for the Cheeseheads.

We could make this a whole other thread, but I saw this as about equal with the star spiking (with the star spiking probably slightly worse), but worse than the sharpie and cell phone incidents. Those showed up the other team. The other two showed up the other team AND the fans of those teams. I don't think that Moss's was as bad as the star spiking because he actually did it in the endzone and didn't run all the way to mid-field to do it.
I don't compare it to one incident or another. If a Yankee did anything even close to something like that I'd flip. It's not professional and it doesn't represent something you'd like to see on a team that you affiliate yourself to.

You can't even imagine any baseball player, other than maybe a select few, doing half the stuff these football players do. Can you imagine Derek Jeter fake mooning Fenway Park? I certainly can't, and never want to see it.

Me too, when I go to either a Yankees or Jets game. You never know when you're going to see a 10 run comeback or 20 point comeback. The only time we leave football games early is when the other team can win by taking a knee and leads by two scores.

I trust you're not a Vikings fan. To speak now, as many long suffering Vikings fans have, is to only set yourself up for disappointment.

HaHaHa!!!!My husband can only wish.
I was making hubby his birthday dinner which we ate while watching the second half. Since my two children were dining with us , there were no rituals of any kind taking place.
I just finished cleaning up and getting said children off to slumberland, so this is my first chance to check in.
Sorry to all the Packer fans here, they never seemed to get it going today.

As for the Vikings, my husband is quite pleased, and he is looking forward to next weeks game against the Eagles. I told you yesterday there was no ice to chip on the driveway so I took that as a good omen for today's game.

I'll admit that until I finally find footing I'll root for the Vikings in this game.
But, if the Vikings were actually able to win the Super Bowl that would be a celebration that I could not partake in.
How did your husband feel about the Randy Moss moon dance?

Pepper03
01-09-05, 08:37 PM
Welcome back on board, although I am not officially a Vikings fan. If it ever came down to the Pats against the Vikings, this would be one tense house.
My husband didn't see the Randy Moss victory moon, but I did, and I thought it was sickening. If he saw it he would agree. He thinks they should get rid of Moss in the offseason, he's sick of him, and all his talent doesn't make him worth having because he's a discredit to the team. I am in total agreement with him.
Why couldn't you celebrate the Super Bowl if the Vikings won? You've earned the right in my opinion.

Oh, don't let that stop you. I "officially" abandoned the Red Sox may times over my 35 years of rooting for them, but I always in my heart couldn't let them go, and when they won, it was incredibly sweet. That's why I've been trying to keep you with the Vikings, because some day they are going to win it, and all the pain and aggravation they've given you over the years will be gone in an instant.
It's like they say about childbirth-once that baby is born, you forget the pain. I used to think it was BS but it's true.
Just think 1961, my husband is a Viking and Red Sox fan-now that takes tremendous character, or stupidity!
Please don't hold it against me I'm a Red Sox fan-I promise I'm not a bad person!

I was at the game today and didn't see the fake mooning incident because it was behind the goal post. However, the Vikings bench was right in front of me and my section. I know there was a time when they showed Moss pointing at the scoreboard on FOX, but what you didn't see was the entire sections reaction, I'll just say there were a lot of birds flying through section 121. One of the Vikings coaches came over and started yelling and jesturing towards the fans.

At the end of the 4th quarter with the Vikings driving and running the clock down, the class act Randy started waving to the fans who were heading for the exits. As if that wasn't enough, he started hurling profanities into the crowd: "Bye Mother F---ers! Get the F--- Out of Here!" Over and over. I also missed his postgame interview that was supposed to be pretty classy.

Just thought you might want to know some stuff you didn't see on TV.

ToneinTO
01-10-05, 08:23 AM
Randy Moss is one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, but he has no class. The moon incident didn't surprise me at all-Moss has always been a jerk going back to his college days. I'm sure Terrell Owens and Joe Horn are ticked off because they didn't think of it first. You'd think a grown man would realize when he's embarrassing himself and the organization he works for, but I guess not. It's a sign of the times, unfortunately.

And also Fox and Joe Buck are so soft on this. When Randy Moss did the "moon", Joe Buck said, "It's disgusting." This is the same Joe Buck that gets paid by Budweiser to do commercials about a guy named Leon.

This is a huge outcry from the NFL about Randy Moss's "moon." The NFL is thinkin' about suspending Moss instead of Donovan Darius and John Lynch? The incidents involving Lynch and Darius are far more worse than Randy Moss.

As for Randy Moss, please give it up. You're one of the most talented WRs in the NFL. It's up to you to change your image Randy.

BroadwayBomber55

I believe it but I still don't agree with it. The worst thing I remember a Yankee doing last season was Lofton when he dropped his bat on home plate after getting a walk. I remember some announcer trying to make an issue out of it and I thought, "Jeez, just get over it". That's a far cry from a personal message to the fans in the stands (not to mention all of his other attention-getters).

Well, I have returned. That sure sucked. That play by Brett when he passed for a "TD" just completely baffled me. Man....

I guess if the Sox can win the Series it shouldn't surprise me that the Viqueens can win a playoff game at Lambeau.

I STILL had a great time; it's a football fan's Mecca. Met a lot of cool folks: a guy who has his own plane and Luxury Box; a HILARIOUS Jersey Packer fan with a great story about how much of an asshole John Madden is. Did you know that Madden lives at the Dakota? Also, on the plane ride from Cincinnati into Titletown, Muhsin Muhammad was on board.

Some folks around here speculated that he did it for me because I've forsaken the team. Seems to me that you were sitting in the end zone? Did Moss moon you because you were drinking beer and not watching in awe at his greatness?
