WEEK 16
Friday, Dec. 24
Green Bay at Minnesota, 3:00 p.m.
Minnesota dodged a major bullet in Detroit. This looks to be an exciting matchup with playoff implications. That's just what December football should be.
Vikings 35-31
Saturday, Dec. 25
Oakland at Kansas City, 5:00 p.m.
The recent play of Kerry Collins has given Raiders fans hope for next season.
Raiders 42-38
Denver at Tennessee, 8:30 p.m.
Billy Volek is looking like the next Jake Delhomme. That doesn't bode well for the Broncos.
Titans 31-24
Sunday, Dec. 26
Atlanta at New Orleans, 1:00 p.m.
The Saints catch the Falcons at the right time. Vick is being rested for the playoffs.
Saints 24-17
Baltimore at Pittsburgh, 1:00 p.m.
The Ravens will be watching the playoffs on TV next month.
Steelers 24-6
Chicago at Detroit, 1:00 p.m.
Both teams have played better than expected. Joey Harrington still has much to prove, however.
Lions 17-10
Houston at Jacksonville, 1:00 p.m.
This is the first of two winnable games for Jacksonville.
Jaguars 21-14
N.Y. Giants at Cincinnati, 1:00 p.m.
The Giants have a chance with Jon Kitna starting at QB.
Giants 31-21
San Diego at Indianapolis, 1:00 p.m.
This is the Game of the Week. A lot will be detrmined from the outcome of this matchup. San Diego is the toughest team the Colts have faced in two months.
Chargers 28-24
Buffalo at San Francisco, 4:05 p.m.
The Bills need to keep their focus and not look too far ahead to the Steelers in Week 17.
Bills 27-16
New England at N.Y. Jets, 4:05 p.m.
When you lose to the Dolphins at this point in the season, you have some serious issues.
Jets 34-17
Arizona at Seattle, 4:15 p.m.
Seattle stinks. That said, they should be the Cards at home.
Seahawks 30-17
Carolina at Tampa Bay, 4:15 p.m.
That was a tough loss at Atlanta, but the Panthers can still get in if they win out.
Panthers 27-20
Washington at Dallas, 4:15 p.m.
How can a team fail to score more than a touchdown against a banged up Eagles defense?
Redskins 16-13
Cleveland at Miami, 8:30 p.m.
Two in a row for the 'Phins.
Dolphins 38-7
Monday, Dec. 27
Philadelphia at St. Louis, 9:00 p.m.
Yawn. The big loser of this game is ABC.
Eagles 20-13
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :D

St. Louis
Giants should get killed in Cinn...

SD vs Indy should be the game of the week...

Redskins 16-13
The Redskins haven't won in Dallas since '95. That's just way too long. Not even the refs will be able to save them this time. This will be LaVar's second game back. I'm almost going to feel sorry for Vinny... almost. HTTR!

The Pats weaknesses in WR/OL/DB are finally catching up to them. Their LB corps is starting to show it's age and the coverage/return teams have been awful. They'd better hope Indy beats SD on Sunday or else they'll be playing in the 1st round.

Raiders 42-38
Kerry's the kind of guy that will have a great game, like he did last week, and then have a crap game. He's playing an awful KC defense but I don't see him having the kind of game they will need to pull out the victory. I've got the Chiefs here.

Steelers 24-6
I think the Steelers will win, but I don't think it'll be that much of a blowout. 20-17.

Chargers 28-24
If it was in SD, I'd pick the Chargers too. But, I just don't think the Chargers can go into that dome and come out with a victory, especially now that the Indy defense is playing better.

Jets 34-17
Wow, I can't believe you picked the Jets. Seriously, I'm stunned. Personally, I don't see the Jets beating the Patriots that badly. I'm curious whether Hackett will pull out some more tricks and open up the offense like he did against Seattle or will he become a wimp again like he usually does - and admits to doing against elite teams. I really hate that guy. Anyways, I see the Jets pulling out a victory but it will be close. 20-13.
I agree with all the other picks.

I try to be objective but I'd like to take a mulligan on picking Houston over the Jets. I must have had too much caffeine that day. :O
As for my score of 34-17, I've observed that when you play bad, you lose bad. If Ty Law doesn't come back, the Pats are done.

You KNEW things were in the gutter when we actually lost to these guys once in '02. NOT happening twice in 3 seasons! The Cowboys WILL find a way to win, and I can 99% guarantee it WON'T be pretty! I'll reverse your prediction and say Cowboys 16-13.

I think the Pats lose to the Jets, but I think it's alot closer than that.
Do you really think they are in that bad shape?

JWF...I hope you are right....I have a good feeling about this game....BUT with that said I must keep 2 things in mind:
1) this is the JETS
2) Paul Hackett is still our offensive coordinator
Until I see it happen....Im not picking the Jets to win a "big" game....and Im certainly not gonna be overconfident in a Paul Hackett-led offense in a "big" game....Hackett's past results speak for themselves....here's to hoping things change on Sunday...but until then
20-17 Patriots

I hear ya. I just keep tellng myself that Seattle was the start of a turnaround for Hackett, because maybe he finally is realizing his job is on the line.

The other thing is that in this game, Hackett has to know that the Jets HAVE to be aggressive and have to throw the ball down the field because of the Patriots injuries in the secondary. I'm so pumped for this game!

It's just too bad the Cowboys season is going to end on a sour note when the Giants beat them next Sunday night.:)
