WEEK 11
Sunday, Nov. 21
Arizona at Carolina, 1:00 p.m.
Dennis Green has done a terrific job with this team.
Cardinals 21-17

Dallas at Baltimore, 1:00 p.m.
Dallas will have two fairly high first round picks in April's draft. That's something Dallas fans will look forward to.
Ravens 20-6

Denver at New Orleans, 1:00 p.m.
The Saints had a season saving win over the Chiefs last week.
Saints 30-27

Detroit at Minnesota, 1:00 p.m.
The slide stops here for the Vikings, but continues for Joey Harrington.
Vikings 31-17

Indianapolis at Chicago, 1:00 p.m.
Back to back road wins for the Bears? Kudos to Lovie Smith. However, beating the Colts is too much to ask.
Colts 24-14

N.Y. Jets at Cleveland, 1:00 p.m.
The Jets can't afford to lose this game.
Jets 20-14

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati, 1:00 p.m.
The Bengals have played good defense over the last two weeks, both wins, but Pittsburgh isn't an NFC team with a weak offense.
Steelers 34-10

San Francisco at Tampa Bay, 1:00 p.m.
The Niners looked really bad last week against the Panthers.
Buccaneers 21-10

St. Louis at Buffalo, 1:00 p.m.
Are the Bills packing it in? We're about to find out.
Bills 28-24

Tennessee at Jacksonville, 1:00 p.m.
David Garrard is auditioning for another NFL team. So far, so good.
Jaguars 17-10

Miami at Seattle, 4:05 p.m.
Dave Wandstadt will have company very soon.
Dolphins 20-13

San Diego at Oakland, 4:05 p.m.
We'll see if the Chargers are legit or not.
Chargers 16-10

Atlanta at N.Y. Giants, 4:15 p.m.
Let's see, a rookie QB starting, two straight embarassing losses, injuries to key players, and a 7-2 opponent. Tom Coughlin is loving this.
Giants 17-13

Washington at Philadelphia, 4:15 p.m.
How good can Patrick Ramsey be if it took him eleven weeks to replace Mark Brunell?
Eagles 24-7

Green Bay at Houston, 8:30 p.m.
The scoreboard at Reliant will be overloaded.
Texans 38-27

Monday, Nov. 22
New England at Kansas City, 9:00 p.m.
If you don't play defense, you won't beat the Pats.
Patriots 31-17

But fer realz, it seems like he's got talent. And at the very least, he's as brave as a 'skins soul can get. What his o-line did (read: didn't do) for him last season was disgusting--they weren't even helping him get up anymore at one point after they let him get sacked. Gibbs was maybe in the "the veteran gives us the best chance to win, and that's that" mode, I don't know. Guess we'll find out soon enough. I hope he fails miserably.

In 1983, Parcells started Scott Brunner over Phil Simms.
In 1993, he started Scott Secules over Drew Bledsoe.

IMO Dallas is looking good for 2005. :)

And also, you have to look at how the Steelers beat the Pats: the Steelers played with disclipine, physical, and patience like the Pats.

The Pats played w/o Dillon and Law and uncharacterisically turned over the ball. Needless to say that they will need both healthy of they face the Steelers again.

I going with a hunch on Miami. Seattle looks like they are going into the tank. :uhh: How can you fail to get into the end zone against the Rams?
Miami still has a playoff defense and is coming off a bye.

As for GB/Houston, I don't think it's a reach at all. If Minnesota recovers that fumble (a Viking player was on top of the ball when a Packer snatched away from him) the Packers lose that game. GB's "D" stinks (so does the NFC for that matter) and Houston is at home and has a prolific passing game. The Texans have been blown out two games in a row on the road and return home. They beat Jacksonville 20-6 before that. They are more than capable of beating GB.

This game has me kind of worried. On my Packers' part for coming off that win vs. Minnesota. The bookmakers think so too since my Pack is only a 3 point favorite.
As one of my news sources pointed out though, Javon Walker is from Galveston and Donald Driver & Robert Ferguson are both from Houston so at the least the receiving corps have had this game circled for a while.
Also, Darren Sharper should be a lot healthier since I effed up and shook his hand. ;)

I'm going to cautiously say Pack 31 - Texans 27.

I really think KC has got this game. NE's secondary is injured. KC will get the big win. And the Jets better win their game.

Word is Seattle QB Matt Hasslebeck has a "charleyhorse" and might be a game time decision. Trent Dilfer would be his replacement.

:uhh: Charleyhorse??? Hassleback is going the Brian Griese route. He's been very mediocre lately and will have a hard time finding a starting job in FA. I feel sorry for him.

PREDICTION!!!!!

At next year's draft, Paul Tagliabue strolls to the podium....

"With their first pick of the 2005 Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Ron Artest...."

Cowboys at the Ravens??? Old school Classlessness vs. Fresh Classlessness. Probably 20 to 30 parole officers on each sideline.

George, congrats again to the Packers. :gulp:

That was an impressive road victory in Houston last night.

This year NFC means, Nominal Football Conference, but if the Packers continue to play the kind of "D" like they did against the Texans, GB has a good shot at the SB.

So asks the guy who supports both the Giants and the Pats.

My favorite player of all-time? Troy Aikman. Bar none. My favorite active player? Roy Williams, period.

But don't we all have guys around the league we like and support? I've always been a Brian Griese fan, ever since he came into the league, perhaps because I always loved John Elway and was eager to support his successor--who knows? I love good, solid quarterbacking more than anything (good, hard-nosed guys on both sides of the ball coming in second, though the two groups are not mutually exclusive of course), and that looked like the directions he was headed in for awhile. All of those factors have lead to the Brian Griese poster that I still have on my wall (I've got an entire wall, both at home and here at school, dedicated to the Cowboys, featuring a TON of Aikman stuff, but I've also got a Manning, a Brady, Griese, and some baseball and music stuff here. A LOT more football stuff at home.) and the chick-cut Griese Broncos jersey that I got on megasale that I still break out on occasion. :)

In addition to Manning, Brady, Elway, and Griese, other non-Cowboys I've taken a liking to over the years include Shannon Sharpe (LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy), Brian Urlacher, Marvin Harrison, Jeremy Shockey, Bill Romanowski ( So sue me.), Jason Taylor, Joey Harrington, Steve McNair, Mike Alstott, John Lynch, Philip Buchanon, Ray Lewis, and many more...guys who are real toughies or solid or promising QBs who I enjoy watching play, or both. Ahem. NO REDSKINS, EAGLES, PACKERS, RAMS ALLOWED. :)

:uhh: He replaced Neon Deion. I guess CBS needs a clown on their pregame pannel. :barf: :barf: :barf:

At least you didn't have Hanging Chad on your list.

Thanks! :gulp: Yeah, the D really picked it up. It's amazing how much better they are just with fat Grady back in the line.
When Ahman went out of the game, I figured that was it but Brett really picked it up. Great game last night.
