High of 62?! No way!!!
Despite how much I HATE HATE HATE the cold, I want me some frozen tundra! Then again, I could probably wear 5 layers and STILL not be prepared to handle it.

Nat, I was there two years ago for the Sunday night game in December against the Viqueens. It was BRUTAL!!! It was five degrees at halftime. Man, was I frozen.
Hey, when you enter the stadium don't forget to pick up a seat cushion. I think they charge $1. It's all bleacher type seats. Of course, everybody stands the entire game. :)

Have a great time, George. I'm still waiting to take my first trip to Lambeau. Eventually I'm going to get my name on the season ticket waiting list. Maybe by the time I'm 70 (or 80) I'll get them.

Thank You!!! :gulp:
My wife kept looking at me when we entered the Holy Shrine of Lambeau. She was sure I was going start bawling like a baby. I probably would have but my eyeballs were frozen. :)
I'll try to post some pics here in the Forum. Leaving tomorrow afternoon & coming back Monday evening. THIS is going be fun. :gulp:

We didn't need it. :D
WE HAVE ARRIVED!!! Man, this place is Awesome. Took a right off 171 and BOOM!!! There's Lambeau!!!
We're gonna take a bunch of pics tomorrow. We're having dinner & drinks with an as-yet-to-be-named player. I know that last home game, it was William Henderson.
This hotel is great too. After being used to Manhattan prices, this is just unbelievable. :gulp: I even met some actually decent Crackboy fans here. I didn't know that animal even existed!!! :P
Time to hit the hotel bar. :gulp:

We just got back from Lambeau & the Packer HOF. :gulp: We saw a few players leave the Stadium.
Also, we found out our dinner tonight is with Darren Sharper. I'm going to advise him to ................ing NAIL the first blue & silver POS Cracksmoking peckerhead receiver to come across the middle, even if the punk doesn't have the ball. :D Hopefully he knocks Testicleverde into next Tuesday, too.
I got a bunch of great pics but I have very limited software on this laptop. I'll post some later.

Wow, this place is just so cool! :gulp:
Darren Sharper is a helluva great guy. He really is. :gulp:
The wife and I just got back from #4's Steakhouse. The crowd was UNREAL!!! My big, fat ass snuck around some people and stole a table....we were told we had a TWO HOUR wait! Luckily, just like last time we were there, some idiots were having a wedding reception so, as luck would have it, I knew where to grab some tables! LFFAO!!!! (Another thanks to Irv! ;) )
I didn't hear from Nat yet so I'm going to give her a call. Hopefully, we can meet before the game tomorrow.
On yet again to the Hotel Bar! :gulp:
This place is just Incredible.

BTW, we met TWO MIXED couples tonight, and from what I can tell, their marriages are both working.
The first couple was the female who was , no ................, the Sane One! She was a Packer fan and her husband has NO class in cheering for an NFL team. HOWEVER, she got him to go on a tour of Lambeau---he was showing me pics on their digital camera. He couldn't stop raving about how GREAT it was!
The second couple was completely different. SHE was the Crackboy fan. I kind of think though that being in Titletown might soften her up a little! ;)
Anyway, it's really great to see that not ALL fans of the Crackboys are a bunch of worthless pieces of stinking horse................. :D

Packers explode for 480 yards of offense, bury Cowboys
Oct. 24, 2004
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Mike Sherman has found his calling, and the Green Bay Packers have rediscovered their rhythm.
With their coach-general manager directing the offense for the second straight game, the Packers scored on their first seven possessions to thrash the Dallas Cowboys 41-20 Sunday.
The Packers (3-4) snapped a three-game losing streak at Lambeau Field and Brett Favre beat the Cowboys (2-4) for just the second time in 10 tries despite jamming his right wrist early in the game.
Sherman called the game with offensive coordinator Tom Rossley, still weak from heart surgery, offering advice from the coaches box.
Just about everything he called caught the Cowboys off-guard.
Favre threw two touchdown passes, Ahman Green ran for his first two TDs since the season opener, Ryan Longwell kicked two field goals and the halfback option pass produced points for the second straight week.
"It's not easy, it's a grind," said Sherman, who directed the Packers to 31 points and 343 yards last week at Detroit when they snapped a four-game losing streak. "It helps that Tom Rossley did a great job in a supporting cast. The halfback pass was his call."
It was another masterpiece as Green Bay gained 480 yards and punter Bryan Barker wasn't needed until 9½ minutes were left.
"I can't say Mike calling the plays has been the reason for our success, but it's been a fun two weeks," right tackle Mark Tauscher said. "I think we've gotten in a good rhythm with Mike calling the plays."
Green, who has not been speaking to the media, ended a monthlong funk by rushing for 163 yards, including a 90-yard score in the third quarter that was the longest Dallas had ever surrendered. He became the second player in NFL history with two career touchdown runs of at least 90 yards, joining Bo Jackson, who did it in 1987.
Green, who had a 98-yarder last December, also set a franchise record with his 27th 100-yard game, breaking Jim Taylor's record.
In between Longwell's first-half field goals of 26 and 40 yards, Green scored on a 1-yard run and Javon Walker (eight catches for 129 yards) caught a 5-yard TD pass as the Packers took a 20-6 halftime lead.
Tony Fisher's first NFL toss found Bubba Franks alone in the end zone to make it 27-6 in the third quarter.
Cowboys safety Roy Williams apologized to the offense, the coaches and the fans for Dallas' dismal defense.
"Sometimes we don't fight," he said. "That's discouraging. It's sad. There are no excuses for the way we played today."
Tight end Jason Witten (eight catches for 112 yards) blew past cornerback Al Harris and caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Vinny Testaverde that made it 27-13 and gave the Cowboys hope for their first win at Lambeau Field in five tries.
But the Packers quickly responded with Favre's 33-yard TD toss to Donald Driver to make it 34-13.
"This is certainly the low point for me in my tenure here in Dallas, without question," said Cowboys coach Bill Parcells, in his second year with the team. "I am embarrassed to put a team on the field that looks like that. If we don't play better on defense than we did today, we don't have a chance to win another game. We don't have a chance right now. We really don't."
As for the job Sherman did, "I don't even know who is calling the plays," Parcells said. "I don't pay attention to that. They look pretty good with the guy playing quarterback they've got."
Favre completed 23 of 29 passes for 258 yards.
"The offense made our job a lot easier," said nose tackle Grady Jackson, whose return from a knee injury plugged a gaping hole in Green Bay's defensive line. "We had a great time today. And hopefully, this will give us confidence to get on a 19- or 20-game roll like the Patriots."
That's getting way ahead of themselves, but the Packers did avoid their first 0-4 start at home since 1986.
"I never thought I'd feel so good winning at home," Hannibal Navies said.

I had a great time. Too bad it wasn't colder.
Dude, I called you like 3 times, PackerMan! Well, if you saw a chick in a Roy Williams jersey, Cowboys jacket, Star necklace, and stars on her cheeks walking next to a young man in a Carter jersey...that was me!
Anyway... what was the worst about the game is that I KNOW they are not the better team. It should be obvious to anyone who's watched them this season that they have NO defense and you can run on them almost at will (I understand that with big Grady back this should be a bit harder). This is why it was so frustrating that we gave up on the run half way through the 1st quarter--despite the fact that it was working!!! It took until the 4th quarter to return to the run, and oh my gosh what do you know--IT WORKED THEN, TOO!!! Secondly, where was our blitz?! Everyone knows if you get to Favre real good just ONCE or maybe twice, in comes the highest paid friend in the league in Pederson. Thirdly, I WANT HENSON. Bring him in now. We need someone who can make those throws to the sideline and not have them 3-hop to the receiver's feet.
Basically, the Cowboys are either underachieving, Vinny's holding them back, or the play-calling really SUCKS--or perhaps all three.
One has to wonder how Quincy, being in his 2nd year with the same offense for the first time in his career and not being 98 years old, would have done up to this point in the season. None of us thought Q would be the future at QB, but he was supposed to hold the fort until Drew was ready. I knew this Testaverde signing was a bad idea before it happened (as my posts about the subject at the time prove). Then again, I thought that with the type of protection he was getting, which is pretty darn good, he'd not have much trouble--but he gets all day, then misses his target completely on throws not up the middle. Alas...
Anyway, again, it was a fun experience. I picked up a few things for my boyfriend, took lots of pictures, met a lot of fellow Republicans--good stuff. For the most part, the Cheeseheads were really nice people. Three of us from the travel group ended up sitting together basically alone in a sea of green and gold, but they were all nice, and the seats were GREAT. But if I ever hear "I Don't Want to Work" one more time, my brain will explode!
:gulp: Cheers to the people of Appleton and Green Bay (but not their team. ;) )!
P.S. Re the article George posted:
1. No posting of full-length articles allowed!
2. Why the heck is my Roy apologizing?! He's just about the ONLY one on my team who showed up to play yesterday. He and Dat are the only ones who know how to tackle, it seems. Depressing.

................! You should have left a voice message. I wrote your brother's number down and then left it at the hotel on game day. Yeah, I'm a dumbass.
Our D is bad??? Well, my Pack scored the first SEVEN times they had the ball. :gulp:
Your kicker & coverage teams didn't help either with those short kickoffs.
We took the Lambeau tour this afternoon. Man, THAT was AWESOME! They took us from the luxury boxes all the way down to the Field. We even went thru the tunnel the Pack uses.
We saw Dave Robinson before the tour. Also, I shook hands with Majik! Don looks like he could still play.
The only bad thing about the weekend was our plane was delayed at Green Bay and we missed our connection at O'Hare. Luckily, we made it back via a different airline but our baggage, including over $600 in brand new Packer gear is somewhere in limbo.
WTG Pack!!! The Better Team Won!!! :gulp: :gulp: :gulp:

I don't need to check the numbers (though, obviously, I have)--I was there and know what I saw!
It's a cruel irony, isn't it? At least he's been tearing it up for my fantasy team though! (My brother has him in my other league...glad he's doing well for people who still believed in him. ;) ) When they released him, I KNEW he wasn't quite done, I really did.
We'll go out and get 'em next week.
Thanks in advance for the pics, George. No matter how crappy the rest of the team is playing right now, at least the sunshine of my life brings it every week! My brother and I ran into Billy Cundiff and Matt McBriar Saturday night in the lobby of our hotel, but I was too shy to ask them to stick around until my brother came back downstairs with our camera!

A couple of folks I talked to every day at the hotel ran into Ahman Green at a restaurant. Later, they met Troy Aikman at the Casino by the airport. From what I understand, Troy won a couple grand by taking the Pack. He's no dummy! :gulp:
I'm charging the battery on my camera right now and hopefully I'll have the pics up in a few hours.

If I could have ditched the wife for a few hours, I would have been there too. Troy was one of the classy Cowboys. From what those folks were saying, he was extremely friendly and gracious. He signed autographs and shook everybody's hands. The one guy's (Cowboy fan) son's eyes were still glowing hours later. Pretty cool. That kid will never forget this past weekend.

That is so awesome. My eyes wouldn't still be glowing... I wouldn't even have regained consciousness yet!!! My brother knows exactly what he's supposed to say on my behalf if we're ever in a situation to meet him, since I'll probably go catatonic! I revere the ground anyone who's ever even met Troy walks on.
Picture looks good George!
