No Baseball tonight. It's a good night to scout the Titans and the Crackboys. Man, I'm just ready for the real games to start! :smokin:

I notice how you stopped once Vinny and Key started to pick things up. :)
Pleased, though not thrilled (after all, it is preseason), with our offense, especially the pass-blocking of our o-line, which I knew would be very good anyway.

Yeah, they did OK against the Titan backups. :D

Hey, we moved the ball well and were able to mount two good drives even against the first team. Just still having a few red zone problems like last year... and the year before... and the year before...
Again, it makes me happiest to see what Vinny can still do if his o-line buys him some time. Whenever people bring up his age, I want to say that it really doesn't matter--if the line is good, and his arm is good, he can be 50 and still be ok.
Besides, playing against the Titans' backups is roughly equivalent to playing against the starters of the bottom of the barrel teams in the league, and it's often games against the crappier teams that are lost because the weaker opponent was overlooked and underrated. Just ask the 2003 Vikings. Gotta know how to take advantage of weaker opponents WHENEVER the opportunity arises. Like the 2 times this season when we'll be facing the Giants. :D

Seriously, I thought the Cowboys did look good at times. I also feel good about selecting the young Tight End, Witten for my fantasy team. I think he has a chance to get a lot of dump off passes from Vinny.
One thing is for sure: The Tuna will get everything he can out of this team.
Does Dallas and Green Bay play each other this season?

It's gonna be a GREAT time!!!! :gulp:

How did you get tickets for a game at Lambeau Field? I thought the Packers had a waiting list for tickets of about 15-20 years.

My brother and I will be there, too, in full regalia and face paint! Maybe we'll see you there. :gulp: :gulp: :gulp:
Seth, if you book with travel groups associated with either team, you can get a good deal on tickets/hotel/meals. You can go super-expensive and buy them from online ticket brokers/scalpers or check out ebay. We booked with Cowboys Touchdown Travel. The Packers also have a group called Packer Fan Tours. All I know is, it'll be a very welcome rest following midterms week.
You guys should have a bet...

When are you getting there, Nat? We're arriving Friday afternoon. I can't wait!!!
You'll have a great time there, too, even though you'll be wearing the colors of South America's team.
If you get a chance, stop by Brett's restaurant before the game for a great tailgate party. You'll see us there. We'll be the ones completely clad in Green & Gold. :smokin: :gulp:

You know it. I usually paint stars. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v444/daboys4life819/newhouseynosotros.jpg (The other dude is my younger brother. He makes me proud. And also... I'm wearing a long-sleeved shirt, jersey, sweatshirt, and other jersey in that pic, so I look puffier than in real life. Anyway...) Perhaps I will go with something bolder this time, though.
George, we're probably getting there Saturday afternoon. We were originally supposed to stay at the hotel where the team is staying, but a barbershop quartet convention (heh...) took all the rooms that the team isn't using, so the agency got us a place across the street. And by "the team", I do mean my Cowboys, of course.

Man, I feel bad for these folks' families. These guys probably just want to have some wholesome fun. They're probably coming from all across the country to little Green Bay and BAM!!!, they're going to be stuck in a hotel with a bunch of crack addicts, perverts, ne'er-do-wells, and gun-toting punks. Oh my!!!

Is that Robert Newhouse in that picture? I don't know why, but he looks like a wax statue there. :)
Well, I don't have a problem with him. I don't recall him committing any felonies or anything.

From what I can tell, those are awesome rings. It's pretty cool of him to let you wear them. I have a picture on this site of Brett's Super Bowl ring that Irv had on.
Man, if I won something like that, it would stay in a Safe Deposit box. I'd visit it once a year. :)
