Yes, that includes his hits from Japan. 1278 in Japan, 862 in the majors. He's in his 4th year here.

In addition to Bonds, I hope I get a chance to watch Ichiro play live. This guy is simply an awesome player in every facet of the game - extraordinary defense, superb hitting, fast as hell, ocassionally hits for power, etc. Do you all think he will make the HOF? If he keeps up his numbers for several more years, I think he should be inducted.

Right now he is on pace for 257 hits, which would tie the major league record for hits in a season, although i believe it was done in 8 less games
