I certainly hope so. From what I saw of him in '99 I think he may be the heir to Brosius at 3rd or even moving him to 2nd and shifting Soriano to 3rd. He seemed to have lots of poise and hit the ball to all fields.

Apparently he's coming north with the Yankees but will be sent down when Jeter returns.

Temporarily, as patrick said. I frankly think that he's better off right now playing everyday in Columbus than he is sitting on the bench in the Bronx. He is not the heir to Brosius (which should be clear after the last week's events). The Yankees project him as a utility player. If that's true, and that's all they will do with him, I'd rather see him traded to a team where he gets a chance to play regularly.
I really think that the best scenaro for him is to play at least 2 months at AAA. But i agree with mfy, I hope that he dosen't get tagged as a utility player,he's to good for that.

i agree that i'd rather see him play where he can get the most time in--even if it's not w/the yanks (though i hope it is:)).
since both watson and jeter are temporarily inactive, "making the cut" right now might not mean making it for long.
21 more hours!!:)
